Don Rapp Motor Company Reviews (1)

Mr *** originally came to my dealership with his *** to perform some routine maintenanceIf not for the fact that he worked for a prominent local businessman I am friends with we would not have attempted to work on his car which is a high end luxury car that requires special tools and manuals
with instructions to repairOver the course of a couple years we worked on his car and did basic common routine maintenanceWe either picked up his car to bring in for service and or gave him a loaner car when required at not charge to himHe used our loaners and gas and we never requested him to reimburse us for any of itThe part he is contesting here and wanting us to pay for the labor was a part that we were not familiar withThe part was a special *** part the needed to be sourced from ***We are a *** Dealer and do not have access to warranty parts for other manufacturesWe attempted to do the repair but in so doing there was a clip that apparently needed to be removed before installationIt was not an obvious clip to untrained non *** repair technicians with the the experience or the instructions manuals to tell us how to install itNothing came in the box along with the part that would have instructed us to remove the partThis clip apparently caused the part to failMr*** decided to take it to another independent repair center (*** Auto) to have them fix the problemThey discovered it was the part we replacedThey replaced the same part we replaced and made the exact same mistake and we understand from talking to them, they did not know to replace the clip either and like us, neither the customer nor the part supplier provide any information that instructed the clip to be removed prior to installationHad Mr*** took the time to drive to an authorized *** dealer (for example one in *** NY about hours from ***) he would not have had either problem with us or *** auto trying to repair vehicles we bother we unfamiliar withI assume he did not want to take the time to travel that far so instead he took a short cutHis decision so therefore he needs to own up to a decision he made to save time and money for him, and not try to get us to pay for his mis-judgement by taking his specialty luxury car to repair centers not familiar with the exact details of every repairLastly he never considered the Free loaners and pickup and delivery back to him we provided by saving him time and moneyIn addition he tried to black mail us be threatening and then following through by sending a personal email to me and his previous employer who is a good customer and friend of mine trying to bad mouth us to himThe response from his precious employer to him was "why am I included on this?" Or something very close to thatI sent a text to his ex-employer explaining the intent behind the email and got a reply back that he thought he had blocked Mr*** from all communication but apparently forgot to block his emails from him and said its not biggie, he understoodSo when that back fired on Mr*** trying to damage my relationship with his previous employer he resorted to contacting the Revdex.comGiven that fact Mr*** did receive great service and free services from us at other times that he must have been pleased with and the reason I am sure he returnedGiven the fact when we spoke over this and I asked him why he just did not take it to an authorized *** dealer to which he responded "because you were convenient for me" is now no reason to ask us to reimburse him for repairs we performed in good faith attempting to save him time and convenience as he statedHad he not tried to damage my business and personal relationship with a good customer of mine while trying to pressure me into submission to get what he wanted, I may have considered his requestI am not interested in assisting in this matter due to all the above circumstance and information provided here inKevin Harris (owner)
