Upon receiving this complaint, we put a call out to the customer to discuss his concerns. As of 3 days later, still no reply from...

the customer. The customer purchased the vehicle "AS-IS" per his request. Our normal warranty is 60 days or 2000 miles and the customer has put 5000 miles on it but none the less we never turn our back on our customers. The complaint the customer is stating has to be manipulated to act up but and was told by our service department that under normal driving conditions that it drove fine and if he wants to replace the converter there would be a charge. The customer never asked for assistance and told our service manager that he'd just drive it for now and keep an eye on it.
If the customer will contact us, we will try to help him in some way.

I was called on Friday afternoon and returned the call on Monday. When I have dealt with them in the past they are usually closed on sat and Sunday, maybe just the service but anyway. As in terms of the no warranty. The car did come with a warranty but when I negotiated a good price on the car and after starting to fill out the paperwork, I was told "well if we give you this price there will be no warranty included and the promised owner manual I was taken away because of the price I negotiated! So those things were taken away when they didn't get the price they wanted. And it doesn't matter if I drive 50000 miles, the car shouldn't have these issues as soon as driven off the lot. The car doesn't need to be manipulated for the problem to happen. I can video and show if need be. The reason I said I would just drive the car is because I just bought it and NEED my car to drive and you had it for a week and didn't fix anything. Am I supposed to just sit my car in the driveway and walk everywhere because the problem wasn't fixed??? I did ask for assistance that's why the car was returned to you to have the problem solved.!! With a son and other bills. I don't have all this expendable cash to just throw around especially since I already fixed some other team issues without asking for that expense to be reimbursed. I have spoken with them and hopefully we will work the problem out. Ed said he will speak with the owner and get back to me.

We always take care of our customers and in our 25 plus years of doing business we have never negotiated a deal and then took the warranty away as the customer was signing his paperwork! We never pressure our customers into doing business, nor do we not fully disclose all options. The customer did not have to Buy the vehicle "As -Is" but that was the deal he made. So we are not obligated to help our customer but again, we always do what we can do to help our customer. We have another call out to the customer to try and assist.
