Don Stevens Tire Reviews (1)

Review: On November 16, 2013 I purchased 4 used tires from Don Stevens tire shop in southington. FromThe moment they were installed on my 2007 Toyota camry something didn't seem right with them. They made a lot of road noise and my car was pulling hard to the right. After 2 days my tire pressureLight came on in my car. I brought car to gas station to put air in tire.Front passenger tire had a max of 40 psi as displayed on the tire sidewall. When I checked the pressure it was at 20psi. I thought it was odd but added airAnd went on with my day. The next day the pressure light was on again. I called don stevens and explained the situation. They told me to bring my Car in because they have a 30 day guarantee on any used tire purchase excluding road hazards. I brought my car in on Saturday November 23,2013. I had to wait for 3 hrs for my car to be taken in and the tire to be looked at. I also at that time also purchased an alignment for my car as well totaling $53.00. They gave me my car back and said I was all set. As I drove off my alignment seemed off as my car was still pulling to the right. My Toyota symbol on the steering wheel was also turned a little to the right and not centered in the middle anymore. I was now very frustrated because it would mean again returning to the tire place for a third time for them to look at and "fix"My car wasting my time and gass and possibly making me take a day off of work. I asked themWhat was wrong with the tire as to why it had lost air and they told me it was due to a nail ( a road hazard) they patched the tire for free. The secretary had originally told me that it was sand and gunk in my rim causing the loss of air. I thought that it was odd that if there was a nail in the tire that they had replaced it for free considering they were adamant that if it was a road hazard it would not be covered in the replacement or fixing of the tire. Well today Dec 2,2013 my tire pressure light is back on again and the front passenger tire is not holding air.Desired Settlement: Since I have brought my car in 2 times already and not had the service be completed I would likeA refund for what I spent. $80.00 plus tax for the two tires I purchased for the front of my car one of which the passenger tire will not hold air. The next is the alignment which was not properly done $53.18 including tax. For a grand total of $138.26. Don Stevens told me that they will not give me a refund just a store credit. I refuse a credit I don't trust their merchandise.
