Review: I hired [redacted] two different times to remove trees.They did a good job but as I was watching them use a stump grinder through my bedroom window a rock was thrown and cracked the window I was watching through.I promptly went outside and told him what happened and he denied it was caused by him.now it's costing me $198 to have it replaced.Desired Settlement: I want him to refund $198 for window replacement.

The claim that I cracked this window is false. I was operating a stump grinder at [redacted]'s house 4/25/14, he came out and said I cracked his window. So I shut down operations and myself and 2 employees evaluated the situation. First of all no windows were cracked or broken. Second of all I had protective barriers in place to prevent this type of damage because if I had thrown a rock up it would have shattered his window due to the velocity rocks are potentially thrown at by this machine. If I had not provided a top quality service or had broken a window I would not have collected the Monet until the work was satisfactory. I took the time with my crew and the homeowner to examine his window in question and the window was not cracked or shattered. In fact the exterior of the window was smooth and the window actually had a factory blemish inside of a double pane window. The homeowner agreed I was right I proceeded to finish the job and the homeowner was satisfied with our findings and the work. He proceeded to pay me and when I was [redacted]e happily. If I had cracked a window I wouldn't collect my money until it was fixed. In two decades of doing this job I have broken only one window and it was fixed promptly without any problems. The owner also told me he had a bid $200 less then mine and I told him I wouldn't reduce my price but he agreed to still have me do the work. It's very convenient that he's asking for $198.00 because this would bring the total down to the other companies bid. I'm also concerned because we did this job three months ago and if it was an issue it should have been addressed immediately

My claim is NOT false.His 2 employees were his girlfriend and some very young boy. He also didn't put up his protective barrier till after I told him he cracked the window., and I was standing at the window watching him when it happened.I never agreed that he didn't break the window.I paid him for the job I hired him to do and wasn't going to argue with him since he vehemently denied causing it.
