Took my car to Don Wheaton's Service Department for an oil change and to check for a squeaking noise coming from behind the front seatThe inspection report read
" Found both struts causing squeak while both mounts have small amount of movement Suggest replacing both struts and mounts" Parts were $and had to be special ordered I would also require a wheel alignment after struts were installed Car only has 47,km and due to the expense I called back less than
hours later to have the order cancelledI was advised order could not be cancelled and I also had to pay a $deposit todayWhen picking up the car, I asked for some consideration and was told the order could be cancelled if I paid a
20% restocking fee I paid the additional $and left
On my way home I noticed an AMA Approved Repair Service and asked if they would check for the squeak The mechanic diagnosed the problem immediately and showed it to me under the hoist With his hand he tugged on the sway bar and it squeaked A Sway bar bushing set was ordered and installed within an hour
Total cost: Bushings $+ Labour - $= $and I drove home with no squeaks Problem solved He also checked the struts and they were fine - wear but do not need to be replaced at this time I called the Service Manager at Wheaton's and he said the restocking fee would be refunded I was also offered a free oil change for my troubleThey attempted to take over $from me and I'm offered a free oil change?
I feel a responsibility to write this review and advise potential future customers of my negative experience with the Don Wheaton Service Department

Mr [redacted] had contacted ourselves and General Motors after receiving his recall notice for campaign to replace the...

ignition switch on his vehicle. He had his vehicle towed in to our dealership as it had no insurance and had not been operated for an undisclosed amount of time. After completing the recall on his vehicle (2003 [redacted] we found vehicle to have faults unrelated to the ignition switch recall. Due to the vehicles age, 11 years, it has no existing warranty coverage. I would like to help Mr [redacted] diagnose his vehicles fault but it would be at his expense.
