Don Young Electric

I had hired Don Young Electric to install a mast for my incoming power line to my house. I met with him and we discussed the scope of the work. During this discussion he performed an inspection of the interior of my breaker box because he feared I might have a water issue. This inspection was completed for me free of charge. Before he had left, he had given me a proposal to do the job. The amount quoted included labor, materials, cost of the inspector and scheduling of the power company to terminate before the work started and then to reconnect after the work was completed and inspected. The quote was satisfactory and I approved to have him schedule the project. Do called me and said they had the power company and inspector set for a date 2 weeks out. [redacted] and his assistant [redacted], who also happens to be his wife which I thought was awesome thing to be able to do, showed up in the morning that he said he would, completed the task in the amount of time he specified time, restored power to my main panel and cleaned up before leaving. There was a minor issue he came across but we discussed an alternative solution and it was done without any added cost to me.

Review: Over an hour late each time he came to the house for work. Changed the cost of work in the middle if the job. We had two bedrooms rewire, as a result of Don Young's work, the one bedrooms switch had to be turned on for the other bedroom to work. Our contractor had to fix the wiring plus clean up the wires be left all over the place. So many things were wrong plus for nine hours of work we had to pay nine hundred dollars. He charged us an extra two hundred dollars to run the electricity to the basement. He wanted to have the live wire dangle on the outside if our house. He choose to charge us more money for the easier way.Desired Settlement: Would like our money back for the work he did in our house.
