Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] 4/22/16I did another inspection on the garage door today and I can tell it is rusting due to a faulty powder coat or paint processThe driveway slopes away from the garage door so water and snow are always moved away from this surface (the only time it is right against the door is during a rain or snow)The paint or powder coating is peeling and bubbling away, which is defect, and the rust is starting to eat into the doorBased on the rust level on the lower edge of the door it will most likely have eaten through the door by next spring if not sooner I did not want to involve a third party but I shouldn't have to wait two months to get someone to stop out and inspect the defective doorMy old door was over years old and was better built then this door

Regards,
*** *** 4/22/16I did another inspection on the garage door today and I can tell it is rusting due to a faulty powder coat or paint processThe driveway slopes away from the garage door so water and snow are always moved away from this surface (the only time it is right against the door is during a rain or snow)The paint or powder coating is peeling and bubbling away, which is defect, and the rust is starting to eat into the doorBased on the rust level on the lower edge of the door it will most likely have eaten through the door by next spring if not sooner I did not want to involve a third party but I shouldn't have to wait two months to get someone to stop out and inspect the defective doorMy old door was over years old and was better built then this door

I have attached the original invoice showing date of install on the door for Mr*** and a copy of ***'s limited lifetime paint warranty.Mr*** has his garage door installed in May of 2010.He did call and explain he was having surface rusting on his door. The Sales rep, ***,
explained that the *** warranty only covers "rust through" not surface rusting. Surface rusting is normally caused by standing water, ice/snow melting products or denting caused by wear and tear.If it is surface rusting, there would be no coverage from a manufacture warranty. The rusting must be through the door.*** did explain that he would stop out when in the area and take pictures to send to our local rep. He did explain that isn't going to change their position of not covering surface rusting, but we would send them anyway. *** had not been able to get in Mr***s area to take those pictures at this time. We will make every effort to get out there in the next week to take those pictures. As far as any noise Mr*** is hearing, we would be more than happy to set up a service call to address those issues. We have found that most times it is due to lack of maintenance in lubing the bearings on the rollers and the springs. This particular service can be performed by our techs, for a fee, if Mr*** would like to schedule.Should Mr*** have any questions, we would be more than happy to assist him in any way possible.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address this issue.*** ***Consolidated Doors, Inc

We have gone to the home of Mr *** to note the issue with the door.We have taken pictures of the door and surrounding areas. We have submitted those pictures to the Manufacture for their review. At this time I am not going to assume how the manufacture will respond based on our observations and pictures sent.We will need to await their FINAL decisionThere is no timeframe we have available in which we can expect an answer. Sometimes it takes a few weeks. As soon as we receive word, we will contact the customer. If there are any questions in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact us anytime.Thank you!*** ***Consolidated Doors, Inc
