I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
True, on the receipt is does not show labor for fixing the broken stud and nut. However, I asked for them to apply some disc brake quiet while they had the tires off as part of the rotation. Applying this only takes 5 min max and they charged me $50 for labor. He purposely overcharged on that labor to recoup his labor for fixing the broken stud and nut. He said they usually charge $40 to fix a stud and nut, and I estimate that that is the amount he overcharged for applying the disc brake quite. That is where I came up with the $48.98 figure. These shady dealings further make me question the business’s reputation. I bet this is not the first time they have tried to screw over a customer by overcharging them. Most customers would be unaware of these actions, and if they were aware, I imagine this would not have been the first complaint they received.I’ve also rotated hundreds of tires in my life (I used to work at a tire shop) and never once broke a stud. For him to act like it’s inevitable is completely unacceptable. They did not do it properly and I don’t understand why they refuse to accept responsibility.
