Donald A DeMello Insurance Agency

I had my car insured with Donald Demello Insurance for 3 years and when I went to cancel my policy it was nothing but one big headache. I first off called my agent to cancel my policy in February of 2012 and the lady I spoke to told me she would do the paper work and get back to me within a couple days with any questions. So when I didn't hear from the agency I assumed that my policy was cancelled. I then recieved another bill for my insurance, so I recalled the agency and the lady told me their was a issue with the paperwork and needed to speak to my new agency. So the new agency spoke to DeMello's agency and they fixed the problem and policy was suppose to be cancelled. I then recieved another bill in the mail in April of 2012, so I recalled the agency (DeMello) and they then told me that my plates needed to be turned in and that is why the policy is still in affect. I expelained to the agency that I had called 5 other times and not once was I told to turn in my plates. So I immediately turned in my plates but still owed them money for the two months in which my policy was suppose to be cancelled. I then recently in August of 2012 recieved another bill saying I still owed money even after I sent my bill of sales showing proof I sold the car. So I went down to the agency (DeMello) to try to fix the issue with me still oweing money because the agency by law was suppose to tell me to turn in my plates and never did, I was yelled at by the owners son and told to leave the office because he knew who I was and did not want to talk to me because they did nothing wrong and did not want to hear me out. Before I even got two words in he rudely told me to shutup and to leave immediately because he did not want to talk to me and "his agency did nothing wrong". The man was beyond rude and acted in a very unprofessional manner.I don't appreciate being yelled at in front of other customes especially after I talked to a lawyer and he told me to go talk to the agency to try to fix the problem.
