Dear [redacted] , I am sorry to here of your frustration with your Land Rover Discovery IIWe consider you a valued customer of JLR Huntington and although I can see you have spent a large amount of money reconditioning and restoring your vehicle there is a limit to how much assistance we can provideYour Land Rover Discovery II is model years old and has approximately 130,miles and as a vehicle ages and the mileage accumulates the amount of required repairs will also increaseMost of the parts that have been replaced are covered by a up to a two year replacement warranty but that warranty does not cover the rest of the vehicleI understand that you just spent money on brakes, tires and service but there are many reasons why a check engine light could come on including something as simple as gassing up car with the engine running or a faulty switchI would be happy to have the truck picked up and a loaner dropped off while address the current situation but items not covered under previous parts warranties may result in additional expenseAgain we do appreciate your customer loyalty and would be happy to remedy the situation but we do need to see the car before making any commitmentsI will have Chuck M [redacted] reach out to schedule service/repairSincerely, Raymond C [redacted] , General Manager

In responding to case # [redacted] regarding [redacted] ’s complaint Jaguar Land Rover Huntington has taken the appropriate steps to remedy the situation and the customer relationshipFirst, JLR Huntington made arrangements to pick up the customer’s vehicle and left a Loaner Vehicle for her to use The vehicle had an intermittent noise which required the technician to drive a appropriate distance in order to duplicate the complaint and identify the problemOnce the technician identified the rattle as a lose heat shield we were able to finally complete the repairIn addition Jaguar Land Rover provided [redacted] with a complimentary first service which was due on the truck and a full detail before returning the vehicle to her homeThere have been no further complaints since returning her vehicle and we look forward to a long term customer relationship with [redacted] .Sincerely,Raymond C [redacted] General ManagerJaguar Land Rover of Huntington###-###-#### [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The car was returned to me on 4/**/by the dealer On 4/**/I drove the car for the first time since having it back and the noise from the rear end was still thereI called and left a voicemail for Raymond C*** the General manager of Huntington Jaguar Land-rover explaining that the car is still not repaired and that I am still hearing the noise I called MrC*** back a short time later and spoke with him directly and advised that the car is not repaired and the noise was present MrC*** said that he would call Landrover and see what they can do for me I just want them to give me back my money They have numerous chances to repair the car This last time it was in the shop from 3/**/to 4/**/ If you read my initial complaint you will see that my car has been in the shop for extended periods of time for the rear end noise issue as well as other issues I believe that this car falls under the lemon law at this point and I am truly hoping that MrC*** and Land-rover do the right thing and refund my money So at this point the issue is still not resolved Mr C*** said that he would call me back on Tuesday 5/*/and let me know what they can do for me I respectfully ask that this case remain open until mutually agreed upon resolution is met between myself and Huntington Jagaur Land-rover Thank You,*** ***

The dealership has been very helpful with resolving my complaint Raymond C*** the new general manager has gone out of his way to ensure that my concerns were addressed and was a true advocate for me the "customer" I am very grateful to him and his wonderful team of service advisers, the service manager; Chuck M*** and the knowledgeable sales team They helped me navigate a very complex issue with relative ease I am grateful and thankful and ultimately loyal to this dealership Sincerely,

Your 2004 Land Rover Discovery II is 14 model years old and has approximately 130,000 miles and as a vehicle ages and the mileage accumulates the amount of required repairs will also increase.
