I retained Donald R. Holben & Associates to represent me in an age discrimination complaint. They committed several violations of the Rules of the State Bar of California. Specifically: they neglected to give me advance notice about the date and location of the court-ordered mediation. They did not submit the "Mediation Brief" to me for review. As a result, the Mediation Brief was substantially inadequate. After mediation, neither did they present the opposing party's offer to me, nor their responses to it, but instead they engaged in lengthy and expensive negotiations without my knowledge at my expense.
