I actually remember this cancellation request as does our Business Manager, [redacted].Specifically we remember the invoice of the new car the customer bought up North and the cost of some of the items listed on the invoice. What I cannot confirm and what continues to be a mystery to me is...

what happened to the refund check issued a couple of months ago. I do remember signing it.Previous to receiving this complaint from you today, [redacted] had already taken corrective action this morning and had our replacement check #[redacted] issued for the refund. At this point the customers complaint has been resolved.Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. [redacted]

Review: I purchased a 2013 Subaru Impreza from dealership in (not sure of month--either October or November) in 2013. I traded in car for a 2015 Subaru Forester when I moved to [redacted] for work--moved here 9/** and bought car 12/**. Dealer at [redacted] Hyundai Subaru where I bought 2015 car said to contact Donaldsons Subaru to get extended warranty monies back for 2013 car. Spoke to [redacted] in January 2015 {works in Finance at Donaldsons); believe it was 1/**/15 when she told me by phone that she filed paperwork for me to get money back, but it would take about 8 weeks to get money. When I called back middle of May 2015 to ask about status of money, she said a "glitch" (her words) had happened and I would have to wait further. About last week of May or beginning of June 2015, she said the dealership would have to send me a check because it was taking so long--she (finally) told me exact amount on this occasion after not being sure of amount before--929 dollars. Now, still no check. My complaint is no refund on my extended warranty after waiting almost six months, and I don't believe this is right to treat a customer or his money in this manner.Desired Settlement: I want a check mailed to me henceforth, and I would hope to know why this took so long and what exactly was this "glitch" which [redacted] referred to when speaking to her over the telephone.

Review: On May [redacted] I entered into an agreement to to purchase a new vehicle from Donaldsons Subaru with a trade-in vehicle as the down payment. I was told that the vehicle would be available with-in 4 to 8 weeks. They also stated that they would match a competitors offer of $12500.00 for the trade-in and that I could continue to drive the vehicle, with out concern, until my new vehicle was delivered. I advised the salesman that I had two long trips scheduled as well as the amount of additional mileage that would be placed on the trade-in. I was assured that it would not impact my trade value. I even offered to turn in the trade vehicle prior to receiving the new one and was again told not to worry. I would call the dealer periodically to check on the vehicle and was told it had not been allocated as of yet. Three weeks before delivery I called to follow up on the order and to attempt to get the trade value we agreed on in writing and was told they would not put it in writing and I could cancel the order. I took delivery on August [redacted] and was only given $11200.00 for my trade and told they could not do better. They lied to get the order.Desired Settlement: I have leased or purchased three vehicles from this dealer prior to this one and they always kept their word. For that reason I trusted them and accepted their word. Obviously I was incorrect. I would like a letter of apology as well as some form of compensation for the difference in the amount they quoted and actually gave me. I understand I could have walked away from this deal but I lost the competitors offer because of their lies and deception. They failed to keep their commitment.

Review: I put $500 down on a 2014 Subaru Forester. Donaldson Subaru appraised my 2008 nissan altima at $13,000, written on the contract. The contract was written on 10/**/2013. I waited 6 weeks for my new car to come in. When it came in they reevaluated my 2008 altima to $11,100. When I asked them what happened, they couldn't tell me. I was very disappointed when this happened. Please Help.Desired Settlement: I would like the car I bought that was on the contract, along with the $13,000 for my trade in that was on the contract.

Revdex.com – [redacted]

Statement of understanding and response

to complaint #[redacted]

On 10/**/13 [redacted] visited

[redacted] Subaru and spoke to our Sales Representative, [redacted], about ordering a new Subaru as none were in stock that

met his liking.

At that time he also stated he wished

to trade in a 2008 Nissan.

[redacted] had the Nissan inspected by our

manager on duty who entered the details of the Nissan into the AAX

Used Car Evaluator Tool which is a computer program service we pay

for and use to determine trade-in values.

[redacted] informed [redacted] his Nissan trade-in

value was in the range of $11,000 to $13,000. [redacted] further stated the

exact trade-in value would be calculated at time of delivery of his

new Subaru which would be about 6-8 weeks down the road. This is

routinely done as trade-in values are in a constant state of change

due to supply, demand, length of time, new car incentives, condition,

mileage, etc. The exact value can only be calculated when the

trade-in actually occurs.

[redacted] prepared a buyers order and [redacted]

left a $500 deposit for the new Subaru. The buyers order clearly

listed the trade-in information and the statement “car to be

reappraised before delivery of new vehicle”. The buyers order was

agreed to and signed by [redacted] and [redacted].

On or about November [redacted]

[redacted] was informed that the Subaru had arrived. [redacted] came to

[redacted] to prepare for delivery of his new car and to have his

Nissan reappraised. The reappraised value came up on the short end at

$11,100 which was still within the range [redacted] and [redacted] had spoken

about. [redacted] objected to this appraisal as he expected the $13,000

value that was mentioned in October and noted on the buyers order.

[redacted] agreed that $13,000 was noted on the order but pointed

out to [redacted] that the buyers order also clearly notes that the Nissan

would be “reappraised before actual delivery of new vehicle”.

After an amicable discussion [redacted] was informed by [redacted] that

we would not hold him to the buyers order and would cancel the deal

and refund the $500. This was agreed to on the same day and the

refund was processed.

At this point the Subaru which was

originally ordered for [redacted] was returned to stock. That Subaru has

since been sold to another party.

On December [redacted] I received

this Revdex.com complaint via email. That evening I spoke to [redacted],

our [redacted] Sales Operations. [redacted] informed me that

earlier in the day [redacted] had called him to speak about the situation.

[redacted] was unaware of the Revdex.com complaint I received. Three specific

points came out of their conversation.

1- [redacted] agreed [redacted] did mention the

trade-in value for the Nissan would be between $11,000 and $13,000

even though only $13,000 was noted on the buyers order.

2- [redacted] agreed that the buyers order

did note the Nissan would be reappraised before delivery of the new

Subaru.

3- [redacted] understands that his order was

canceled, deposit refunded and the Subaru had been sold to another

party.

Furthermore they currently have come to

an agreement on two new points.

1- [redacted] and [redacted] have agreed on an

exact trade-in value of $11,500 for December.

2- [redacted] stated that [redacted] is

expecting another Subaru this month which is not spoken for yet.

[redacted] and [redacted] agreed that if the Subaru does indeed arrive on or

before December [redacted] will trade-in his Nissan for

$11,500 on the new Subaru as long as delivery can be made by December

[redacted] which is when [redacted] is due to leave for Florida.

At this point in time both [redacted] and

[redacted] are waiting to see if the Subaru does arrive in time. No

buyers order has been prepared, nor deposit taken.

If the vehicle arrives at [redacted]

and delivery can be made by December [redacted], the trade-in

value of $11,500 will stay and the new car will be delivered.

If the vehicle does not arrive, [redacted]

will leave and no deal will be processed.

Note of understanding of trade-in value

– It is clearly understood by both parties the trade-in value is

set but naturally subject to the Nissan being delivered to [redacted]

in the same condition as it was last inspected.

Thank you for giving us an opportunity

to respond to this complaint. Should further information be needed

feel free to contact me at [redacted].

Sincerely

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]I WAS BUYING THE CAR BECAUSE [redacted] OFFERED 13,000 FOR MY 2008 NISSAN. THIS PRICE WAS OFFERED BECAUSE OF THE MINT CONDITION OF THE CAR AND THE LOW MILEAGE OF 25,000. I WAS TOLD THAT THE REAPPRAISAL WAS JUST IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE CAR. THE RANGE WAS 11,500-13,000, BUT I WOULD ALMOST CERTAINLY TO GET THE 13,000, AS LONG AS THE CAR WAS IN THE SAME CONDITION.. wHEN I CAME IN TO GET THE CAR THEY SAID 11,100, BELOW THERE RANGE. I REJECTED THAT OFFER AND LEFT. I CALLED BACK SOME DAYS LATER WHEN I SAW THE CAR WAS STILL LISTED ON THERE WEB SIGHT. AT THAT TIME THE [redacted] OFFERED 11,500 FOR THE NISSAN. I TOLD HIM I HAD TO DISCUSS THE OFFER WITH MY WIFE. WE HAVE DECIDED TO REJECT THE OFFER AND WILL NOTIFY [redacted] OF THAT. THANK YOU FOR HELP IN THIS MATTER.
