Being in the automotive service business, we know accidents can happenTo this point, all our employees are trained to immediately inform management if an issue occurredAs pointed out by Ms***, technician pulled the vehicle into the shop with the front of the car facing the wallNo
way for it to be damaged hereHe then took it out and into the wash bay, nothing with a hitch around so again no way for it to be damagedThe wash bay employee than pulled the car around and parked along side of the building, away from any other vehiclesAt no point during our control of the car was there an opportunity to cause that type of damage.Again, we know things happen and when they do we are the first to acknowledge and address them. (We have a track record of doing just this) In this instance I am 100% positive that the damage did not occur in our shop or wash bayIf I wasn't we would take care of it

Received call from Fixed Operations Director Paul ***, providing business response to complaint.Mr *** says that Dondelinger, like many dealer service departments, has a standard diagnostic charge -- i.e., the minimum charge for service just to look at a vehicle and provide a diagnosis
This diagnostic charge at Dondelinger is $99, and he says Ms *** would've been advised of this $charge when dropping off her vehicle.Upon inspection of the vehicle, Mr *** says Dondelinger technicians determined the issue was a "quick fix" -- something they could fix with some minimal additional shop time (labor rate is $/ hr), and a few dollars' worth of shop supplies.Knowing that if Ms *** had opted just to get the diagnosis and *not* have anything fixed her bill would've been about $(vs the $she ultimately paid), service opted to complete the repair for the customer.Mr *** emphasizes that Ms ***'s charge from Dondelinger would have been $if she hadn't opted to have the repair completedThe $total, in essence, represents the $diagnostic charge + about $worth of additional shop time + $in shop fees

I am rejecting this response because: the car was washed by the shop as they stated,  however the rust on the front bumper around  the square indentation was transfer from who ever they hit with the car after they washed it.

I am rejecting this response because:I still want tint on my vehicle, by not having it, it can decrease the resale value. It's not fair that I have to pay for their mistakes. And I did not get the vehicle at a discounted price, I got asked what price they would have to go down to for me to buy it, I said the price, then they replied with 45$ more than that price. I would have not bought the car if it had illegal tint. I also would have not bought the car for the price I got it for if it didn't have tint. They also said they would fix my steering wheel before I drove it off the lot, and they made a temporary fix to it. There repair men do not know what they are doing, I do not want them taking tint off my vehicle or touching it. They forgot to put oil in a car they sold to someone so the motor blew up, I found this out after the fact. Would you want someone touching your vehicle after you heard that? And yes my boyfriend was going to go buy a truck from them after I bought my vehicle, but why would I encourage him to go spend thousands of dollars at a place that can't own up to their mistakes? Everything I have said has been nothing but the truth, if it portrays them to look like a bad dealership then maybe they should stop pointing fingers at me, and start fixing their mistakes.

We would be willing to remove the tint on the windows if it is illegal.  This vehicle was sold as is and it was disclaimed to the customer who negotiated a discounted price and declined any warranties.She has also been unhappy with her vehicle and has told other people not to do business with...
