Done Right Autoworks , Inc Reviews (1)

Review: On 2/8/13 I brought my Ford F/250 pickup truck to your place of business “Done Right Auto” at which time they installed 2 tires and again on 5/3/2013 when they installed another 2 tires. The tires that they provided and sold to me were Eldorado [redacted] at a cost of $741.50. Upon inspection of my tires I discovered that they were wearing quickly and in fact were worn to the wear bars. Upon contacting the tire manufacture concerning this particular tire, I was informed that they installed passenger tires instead of Light Duty pickup truck tires which I have been told is unsafe. When I approached Done Right Auto about this issue with the tires there only concern was $59.00 they say I owe you for a failed inspection.

There concern was not with my tires being worn or unsafe, but about where I had my final inspection completed. I asked them to fax over the invoices for the tires I purchased as I was unable to locate my copies, which they did. I was able to find my original invoices and the dates don’t match, as a matter of fact they are off by one full year. There is a 40,000 mile manufacturer’s warranty on these tires or 48 month. There are 11,000 miles on the set purchased in February, and 4700 miles on the set purchased in May, but because they installed the improper tires for the vehicle my warranty is void.

I am requesting 100 % refund of the $741.50 they were paid. I will then return these tires to them and they can do with them what they would like.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my money back so I can purchase the proper tires for my truck. I have contacted the Tire Manufature to see if they would stand behind the warranty and they said because Done Right installed the wrong tires the warranty is void. "My truck is way to heavy for that tire". I trusted Done Right to put the correct tires on my vehical and paid him in good faith in full. Now I'm out 741.50 and have unsafe tires.

Response:

Upon receiving **. [redacted]'s letter concerning his tires, we have reviewed his file and in fact have not sold **. [redacted] any tires this year.

We did however on 5/3/2012, sell him (2) 265/75R16 item# [redacted] Eldorado Golden Fury Sport SUV Light Truck Tires, at which time the odometer in his Ford F250 was not working. So we have no actual starting mileage to use.

On 10/19/2012 **. [redacted] returned to purchase another set of (2) [redacted] item# [redacted] Eldorado Golden Fury Sport SUV Light Truck Tires, with a Mileage reading of 202556.

**. [redacted] returned on 5/3/2013 for a Pa. State Inspection & Emission. He was informed at that time that he needed Front Suspension work done. ( 2 lower ball joints & 2 upper ball joints) at which time he declined to repair.

The next time we hear from **. [redacted] was on 8/12/2013, when he demanded a full refund for the tires that he said "are not the correct tires for my truck". We have taken the time and verified with our tire supplier. [redacted] located @[redacted], Phone # [redacted], that these tires are in fact correct for **. [redacted]'s Ford F250.

Further more **. [redacted] was unable to supply us with a proof of rotation or completion of the front suspension work or original mileage at time of purchase, For these reasons we are declining his request for a full refund.
