Review: An estimate was provided for work to be completed around the house. A 50% down payment was requested. Having contracted with [redacted] in the past, we felt comfortable providing a check for over $2,750 (in summer 2010). [redacted], after numerous contacts over several months indicated that he was no longer able to complete the all the work and suggested we provide him a list of work to be completed that would cost the down payment made which we did. Again, after numerous communications over several months which then crossed over the years and still no payment. Due to family issues, we have had to retire and move. We received a letter from [redacted] indicating he would be refunding our payment and as of April 2013 we have not received any money. Additionally, his phone number is now disconnected.Desired Settlement: See above
