Claim #[redacted]

Location:

Austin, Texas [redacted]

Submitted to:
Mr. [redacted]
Good afternoon to you. I have read Mr. [redacted] request and am okay with most of it however there are a few issues that will need to be addressed.
1)      Mr. [redacted] is asking for an “approved engineers plan”. In order to do so we will need permission to access the property as Mr. [redacted] sent me a letter requesting we not go on his property. The letter was received on September 18, 2014.
Certified mail return receipt# [redacted]
2)      “Level foundation in accordance with approved engineers plan”. Mr. [redacted] is fully aware that there is and has been a Licensed Structure Engineer, state lic# [redacted], involved throughout this whole project and has been consulted on numerous occasions as the job progressed. Mr. [redacted] is also aware that I have installed 05 interior piers at no added cost to him and that the engineer has requested 05 more additional piers. Mr. [redacted] and I did in fact, via phone conversation, negotiate a price of $330.00 per pier for each of those piers. I will need Mr. [redacted] to agree to the piers in writing as they will be in his requested “engineers plan”.

3)      A plumbing test has already been conducted before the driving and lift started and failed on the drain line. The supply line from the meter that feeds the house was pressure tested and held. There have been prior repairs done to the drain lines at the residence per conversation with Mr. [redacted]. When excavation was taking place for the installation of the piers we excavated around the clean out at the front left corner of the residence and documented a separation in the 3” drain line at the area. This will need to be repaired by the homeowner and system will need to be retested at homeowner’s expense.
4)      Job will be completed in 4 to 6 working days with the original balance being due in the amount of $6,303.00 and the (05) additional piers per the engineer at $330.00 each as agreed to for a total of $1,650.00.  Balance will be due the day of completion at which time I will meet with Mr. [redacted] to exchange his Engineers Report, Warranty, and Documentation from the City of Austin that inspection has passed. After funds have cleared I will provide Mr. [redacted] with a “Release of Lean” from the property in question.

Please review all above items as I feel I am being more than fair in the matter and simply want to get this project completed and off the books. Please call me should there be any questions as we look forward to working with Mr. [redacted] to resolve this issue.
Thank you,
[redacted]
