Done-Rite Painting accepted 700 to cover the cost of concrete for job. When the time came to pour they didn't have the money. Owner hung up & cussedmeDone-rite painting agreed to install two small retaining walls on each side of driveway and enlarge patio. Owner asked for $700.00 down to cover the cost of the concrete. Owner did not communicate with progress or respond to questions. Owner ignored request until homeowner came home while they were on site to discuss. Home owner had to dig hole to correct size for retaining wall. When weather permitted pouring the owner texted and asked for more money stating he didn't have money to pay for concrete but was going to try to get money from real estate company to pay. Was supposed to pour on October 3rd. Home owner came home to find nothing had been done. Again no communication from company. Home owner called company. Company owner refused to listen to home owner and hung up on home owner. Home owner called back no answer. Company called back and still refused to listen and called Home Owner a filthy word.Desired SettlementI would like$ a refund of the $700.00 down payment plus damage in the amount of $700.00 because of the unprofessional treatment by the owner of the company. I am filing in small claims court.

Repairs were not done in a timely manner. Repairs are inadequate.Issue remains unresolved shoddy repair work.Desired SettlementRequest full refund of deposit $1425

We hired [redacted] to do work on our home. Mr. [redacted] failed to complete the work as agreed upon within our signed contract. [redacted] was hired 4/17/2015 to do the following work:-Replace all rotted boards & trim including side door.-Power Wash Exterior-Paint all exterior siding trim & shutters-Supply materials for wood Total costs: $2500.00-Build addition on back to be built to code with all necessary permits-Addition to be a 12x24 w/ A-frame-Exterior of addition to be wood siding, windows and shingled roof-Unfinished inside accessible for wiring, insulation and sheetrock-Contractor to purchase all materials excluding 2x4's that we previously purchasedTotal costs: $8500Total costs for all: $11,000.00Once contract was signed homeowners paid [redacted] $5000.00 in the form of a check. Check cashed on 4/17/2015. As of Thursday, 8/6/15 at approximately 12:30pm when contractor was fired, the above agreed upon items have not been completed in full. [redacted] lied to us on multiple occassions such as:-Saying he would be here and never show-Saying he would start on a certain portion of our work and not -Saying our job would be completed by a certain day and not following through-Saying he had obtained a permit but when I would call the permit company that would inform me that he never filed the papers for the permit. -He lied about completing and turning in the paper work twice before he finally did it on the 3rd time. -Lied about the time he would be done other projects so he could work on ours[redacted] did not complete the work as agreed upon in our contract to include:-Unfinished Paint Job including siding, trim, gutters, door, shutters, house numbers-Failure to replace all rotted/damaged boards-Failure to replace trim around garage, side door and back door-Failure to power wash back of house before painting it (painted over grass and dirt on house)-Failure to supply the materials to replace all rotted/damaged wood-Failure to obtain permit until after homeowner followed up with permit office (on multiple occassions)-Failure to supply materials for addition to include concrete for slab, siding, wood, windows, shingles for room[redacted] failed to keep a clean and safe area leaving nails, bolts, wood, footers, open paint cans, ladders, large hole with wood and metal poles sticking up from it that was there from early May until today, 8/9/2015 (when husband filled holes), left cigarette butts in yard, cement blocks from removal of old deck and large mound of dirt that became slippery mud during rain right outside back door (making it easy for someone to slip and fall into the large water filled holes). [redacted] was not reliable as he always had an excuse as to why he wouldn't be here. The only valid excuses were the death in his family, rain and his truck breaking down (if that's even true). 8/9/15 I approached [redacted] in regards to what work would be completed that day, the timeline and informing him that the chimney plywood needed to be replaced because he left it exposed to the weather for too long and it was no longer effective at doing its job (we were informed of this by a local licensed contractor). He laughed and became very disrespectful. I fired him immediately and told him and his employee to get off my property. Once they left my yard I shut the gate, placed a lock on it. His employee came back to my gate and I told him to leave, he was not to trespass on my property. [redacted] then came to my fence, I also informed him he needed to leave and was not to trespass on my property. He then proceeded to jump my fence and came into my yard. After he didn't get what he wanted he then left my yard (jumped fence again), went to front of house and stole my paint cans from front porch. I removed the paint cans from his truck (that I purchased). The following day I filed a police report with the [redacted]. There is a possibility we will proceed and press charges against [redacted] as a Sheriff informed us that he had violated the law.Desired SettlementWe are requesting a full refund in the amount of $5000.00 from [redacted] of Done-Rite Painting and Repairs, for failure to complete the job as agreed upon within our signed contract, for insufficient work, failure to keep a clean working area, loss of wood that we purchased for the job that was damaged, to cover the costs of my husbands time for cleaning up the mess he left (including removal of rotted wood, removal of footers that were not properly installed, removal of old deck wood and posts that were left in the yard, refilling large hole left in the yard with dirt), waste fees for dumping items he failed to remove, costs of permit fees, costs to have a new company come out and complete the job that he did not complete, costs to repair plywood on the chimney that was now damaged by weather.
