Review: I had ordered the custom made dress from Donna Moda for my daughters wedding 4 month before the event. The wedding took place on 08/16/2013. The owner of the store, [redacted], was handling my order. A week and a half before the wedding the dress was not ready. Obviously being concern, I started to insist on showing me what she has done on that point. I went to her store on 08/02/2013. She started yelling and screaming at me and ran out of the store.On 08/02/2013 I send [redacted] an e-mail asking for conformation for the date on when the dress will be ready. On 08/03/2013 she replied that she is no longer making the dress for me. I even tried to ask her to be reasonable and finish it since I do not have any other options on that point and the wedding is a week and a half away. When I look at the refund receipt a month later, I understood that [redacted] used off line mode and refund transaction actually never went over.There are multiple similar complaints from people about [redacted] the owner.Unfortunately, by the time I read it, it was too late. Many stories are indicating fraud and horrible customer service. [redacted]The most unfortunate part is the fact that the owner, [redacted] , is taking advantage of customers during the most important events of their lives. Donna Moda is located in a very upscale Westwood, NJ area where you would never expect for something like this to take place.As of today, almost 3 month later, I still did not receive a refund from [redacted].My CC is still trying to dispute the charges for the 3rd time. Please help.Desired Settlement: Donna Moda/Danielas Boutique/ [redacted] agreed to refund a full amount of charges back to my CC. I would like to recieve full refund.

While it is my goal to serve and satisfy each one of my customers with my best ability for the past 25 years, on the rare occasion there is a customer that is difficult to please. At the time of the purchase, Ms. [redacted] was advised that the dress took over three months to make. Since it was custom-made, it required over 5,000 beads to be put on the dress by hand, one by one. In the

process of making the dress, she was required to come in for a few fittings. The customer showed up many times without an appointment. She came at least two times to change the pattern of the design of the dress. She was very un polite, verbally aggressive and would enter the boutique in an aggressive manner. While I did make the attempt to keep the situation under control, I also completed the garment and sent it to her two weeks prior to her wedding. While there were some emails exchanged, I did send an email on August 6th stating, “ It was good speaking with you this morning, in a good way. As per our conversation, the gown is completed and looks absolutely magnificent. I was hoping that as you indicated you would come by 6 pm; it’s now 6:20, I assume you are not coming. Please feel free to call me in the morning. I have no doubt that, in this dress, you will make a statement.” On the seventh of August, this dress was shipped to her and we have UPS proof of delivery. At this point I have no intentions of disputing her request of refund from her credit card company. I just ask for the dress to be returned to us so it can be given to the charity

I am rejecting this response because:

[redacted], the owner of the store, is lying about this entire situation. I am not occasional

client with the problems. She has many complains the same as mine on her face

book page from many other customers. Every time I had scheduled appointment

with her, and showed up on that day, she said I did not have an appointment and

the dress is not ready. I will ask her a question and she will start yelling at me, calls me names,

rushing out of the store with her arms up in the air. It is not typical behavior for business owner or

anyone for that matter in customer service. As a customer you do not even know

what to do or what to say. It was horrible experience. First she told me to get out of her

store and sent me an e-mail that she will not be making me a dress that I have

to go elsewhere (2 weeks before the wedding). Then she shipped the dress which

not even remotely looked like the sample dress she had at her store. When I

returned the dress to her store and her store clerk accepted it, [redacted] agreed to

refund the money to my CC. I came to her store for refund a few days later and after 20 swipes she produced

refund receipt. Little did I know the money was never sent to my CC. On the

receipt it says “off line”. She gave it to me knowing ahead of time that I will

not even pay attention to this on that moment. My CC Company attempted to

collect the money from [redacted] twice and twice [redacted] came up with some excuse not

to refund the money. She is defrauding her customers in the most important

moments of their lives. The dress was send to me by [redacted] twice and it was

returned back to [redacted] twice. She is harassing me with the shipment of the dress

on this point instead of refunding money to my CC. [redacted] needs to refund the

money to my CC. On this moment the money were never refunded. I am not the

first victim and obviously not the last.

Janina K. 2 months ago Horrible experience!!! I have

never been treated like this in any boutique I have ever been to! Owner [redacted] is

so rude and conniving. She took full payment on a dress she told me she would

order for me for my daughters wedding. I placed the order in January. She

called that my dress was in February, turns out it was the same sample dress I

tried on. When I confronted her about it and all the missing beads, she told me

that's how new dresses come in. I wanted a bolero made as well and when asked

about the extra material, she said she still needed to look into it. Bottom

line she delayed me until April. My daughters wedding is June 1. Even her

employee confirmed that she was trying to pass off the sample dress as a new

one! What horrible customer service! She did not care and even laughed at my

health problems I am having. Instead of having good customer service, being

that it is her business, she hit below the belt. Wouldn't even call the vendor

or try to work with me. I asked for a refund and she threw my credit card at

me! Luckily I disputed it with my card company. Turns out she was billing under

a different store name, " Daniela's Boutique". I should have listened

to my gut instinct with this woman! Don't trust her or anything she says! It

took me a while to find a store that was able to even order a dress with such little

time remaining. Because of such late notice, I had to pay a large penalty to

rush ship a dress that will come in a couple days before my daughters wedding.

I am still waiting for it to come in and I have sleepless nights because of all

this stress. Beware of this place, RED FLAG! Save yourself the aggravation!

As of today, December 7, 2013, Mrs. [redacted] has received full credit back to her credit card account and still has the dress in her possession. The dress was completed and sent to her two weeks prior to the event as shown in the proof of delivery.
