Mr*** is apparently very unhappy with the services he received here as stated on his social media post. This pet was seen by us only twice in the last years. Once on April 14, and again on August 11, 2017. So his statement of “I brought my dog there for yeast
infection” is not factual, as was his social media statement. This co-owner was given advice as to the use of over the counter products, and essential oils and their adverse reactions. He was already treating the ear with essential oils when he brought the dog in, which ultimately made the ear worse due to his use of these products, instead of medically proven products It is our responsibility to educate our clients so they understand how serious, unproven treatments that they find online or from their peers, can often cause more harm than goodWe are not doing our job, and doing the best for the patient, if the owner is not educated Also, just because something is used on humans, does not mean it is safe for animals; as all species process things differently.We are a private, family business and he commented on a social media post regarding his dissatisfaction with our services. As a small business, this type of social media bashing can cause severe harm to the reputation of this practice and we are within our legal rights to sue for libel, as everything he said can be proven in a court of law as untrue and bias. Mr*** has stressed that he would not come here, so in fact, we are just finalizing his decision. We only accept new clients when we part ways with another. His leaving, opens the availability to someone else who would like veterinary care at our clinic. We want him to be happy with the veterinary care that he receives, and his pet’s medical records for his pet are available free of charge to be sent to any veterinarian of his choice If he would like a personal copy, then yes, as with most medical facilities, there is a fee for this service.Attached is his social media post, as well as, the letter that he received from us. Again, this is the result of someone who did not like that they were told what they were doing was wrong and harmful, and ran right to social media to bash the business who was looking out for their pet’s well being. Too many times, people think they can just post anything, true or not, on social media and receive no consequence. What he did was state non-factual information, and it is well within our rights to terminate him, as well as, legally prosecute if we so choose
