The *** contract does include a Spring and Fall contract maintenance as statedHowever, *** *** called us after the Spring cleaning, and she requested that her labor contract be sent to her so she could get another contractor to warranty the systemOnce another contractor starts to work or
service the system, it voids any contract with usAlso, if we service the system at this point, it also may void her contract with the new company who is covering the warranty as wellIt is also true that we do not service her area, in fact we never have** *** knew this at the time of her installation, being that her nephew *** *** was working for our company, and this was how she received a family discount from us for her installationAfter the installation, we had problems with the original thermostatWhen we were going to install the second thermostat, *** *** stated that she did not want that type of thermostat put in againShe was afraid of it having problems again, but she also had problems trying to operate itThe distributer (*** *** ***) was also there at the time this was going on, and agreed to give her a compatible thermostat at no extra charge, so we installed it for herWe will agree to do a Fall Maintenance on her system with the written approval of the new company that is servicing the warrantyWe also will install a new thermostat for her, if the distributer agrees to give her/us a new thermostat at no extra charge, and we also will install this thermostat at the time of the Fall maintenanceIf there is any further problems with this thermostat, or the system it controls, it will be the responsibility of *** *** to have it repaired/replaced by the new contractor under warranty or a contractor who installs *** equipment at her expenseThe distributer is *** *** and the contact is *** in the tech department *** *** knows *** from contacting him before, and this information can all be verified by him

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. This is at no cost to us (thermostat to be replaced with thermostat model stated in contract with installation)
Regards,

This has been best service company I have ever dealt with over the years. They arrive when time is given, work efficiently and leave your home as they found it. They returned phone calls when I asked for a quote for a new system without having to call back several times to get the quote and schedule the work.

Yes, We will agree to install thermostat. Please let us know when you have spoken to [redacted] from [redacted], and the thermostat is ready for pick up. We will install the new thermostat and return the existing thermostat back to him. This will be completed and installed under the terms mentioned in our previous response.

Review: Donnelly HVAC showed up to my house and installed an all new HVAC system which entails a new outside condensor and a new airhandler in the basement. Their Field techs were good guys and did a great job for me, but I wish I could say the owner of the Business, [redacted] Donnelly, had the same customer srvice skills his techs in the field do. **. Donnely charged me 125 dollars for a permit to be pulled for this job to be done at my residence. Only problem is, he never pulled the permit and charged me the 125 dollars anyway! I called business the following monday asking for the permit number for the job, his secretary answered the phone and said she didnt have it on hand, and that she would call me back when she had my file together. After about 20 min [redacted] Donnelly calls me back, and has the nerve to ask me why I am harrassing his business. I had never been out of line with before this phone call, and had been nothing but cordial and iquisitive about events leading up to the job. **. Donnelly knows that in [redacted] county PA, specifically [redacted] Township where I live, that a permit must be pulled for any residential HVAC removal and replacement, and or duct work modifications. [redacted] Donnelly told me on the phone and I quote " the 125 dollars you paid was for if we get stoped by code inforcement during the job, and then we have to go get a permit". This has to be the shadiest backwords logic I have ever heard from business owners mouth. To employee his services in an area and not know the laws and codes the govern it, is simply unaccdeptable. I want my 125 dollars back that I was cheated out of, I was lied and to, and treated rudely. I did raise my voice to **. Donnelly on the phone, but I didnt use profanity, and I was offended by his accusitory harrasment statement. I am a customer looking for answers and honesty. Thats all I want, thats all anyone wants.Desired Settlement: I want my 125 dollars back from [redacted] Donnelly so I can pull a permit to get his techncians work looked at and ok'd by a township code offical.

Response:

**. [redacted] is not a customer of Donnelly Heating and AC, but a customer of a Home Warranty Company of which Donnelly has a Contract. The fees were set with the warranty company and agreed upon by **. [redacted] for the installatioin. We are sorry that he did not understand these fees and will return his $125.00 as requested.
