Donovan's Painting

On April 4, I paid Donovan's Painting a 1/deposit for some painting to be done on an exterior portion of my house with the understanding that as soon as the weather broke I would be put on a schedule On June 10, I still had not heard anything from Donovan so I emailed him and was assured via email that the job would be finished by June 30, June came and still no word from Donovan so I emailed him asking to return my deposit I also stated that I understand there was some bad weather but with a complete lack of communication from him left me no choice but to ask for the deposit back He indicated via email that he would It is now July 24, and still no check I have left another email and voice message for him with no response yet Don't deal with this business!

On February 19th, we paid $deposit for paint to be completed in the Spring
We learned that the painter falsely claimed he was accredited with Revdex.com in his adWe became concerned and checked further for this so called business on the internet only to find that he had a multitude of complaints including shoddy work, unresolved problems and knew that this was not the kind of person we wished to do business with
Before any painting was done, we informed him that we would not be working with him and requested our deposit That was over weeks ago and it is clear that stealing can also be added to this rediculous scammer
RUN away from his glossy ads!! There is no truth to any of it!!!
He also does not have permits to do work in this town
HE IS BAD NEWS

Donovan Painting Co started work on our home in May We paid 1/down and *** *** the owner quit the job (that is only less that 1/finished)
He has no permanent staff They come unequipped and spend most of the day waiting for *** *** to bring materials to them

I had contracted with John D to paint the exterior of my homeThe contract required 50% deposit which I unfortunately did comply withThe work was to commence in the spring of After numerous phone calls and text messages with numerous excuses and delays ( weather, employee problems etc) it was evident that the work wasn't going to be doneJohn had agreed to refund my depositAfter repeated calls and text messages ( that I still have on my phone with his agreeing to refund ) the work never happened and the refund never was receivedHe has since stopped accepting calls from me and has stopped replying to my text messages Had I done my homework on this business I would have not contracted with him...he does present himself as a honorable gentleman and I would have never guessed he would have skipped out on me...my bad
