Donovan's Guns and Ammo

Review: I brought my weapon in to Donovan's Gun and Ammo around 3/5/15. We talked about having my scope sighted in and boresigted for around $45 total and that It should only take a few days to have this process completed. A week went by where I did not hear any information back from the store. I tried calling them throughout that week and was unable to contact them due to the store being closed all week. This of which I was not informed would be happening.I called the store on 3/23/15 to ask what the status was of my gun. I was told that the gun has still not been sighted in. I was then informed that my scope mounts were broken by Donovan's Gun and Ammo because they were too tight to unscrew. Without informing me of this or asking for my permission they drilled into my $30 mounts and ruined them. I was then informed that they would charge me labor fees as well as the cost of new mounts that they would be putting on my gun. I told them that I did not want to pay for any of this due to me not approving or authorizing this. It was then told to me by the owner that he did not care and that he had already put the items on the gun. On 3/26/15 I called the owner of Donovan's Gun and asked him to remove his product off of my gun, so I could come to the store and pick up my gun. I was told that they would not and that if I did not pick up my gun they would sell it without my permission. I then called for Jefferson Parish police to meet me at the store to have this process resolved. When I arrived at the store the owner still refused to take his merchandise off my gun and said that he would not give me my gun back untill I paid him for his service. The whole time this process was going on I was getting yelled at by the owner while being insulted stating that "I was immature and stupid in the ways of how these things work." After I picked up my weapon my scope was burned on the side and my gun had rust on the trigger all of which was never there before. When I asked about this they said it was my fault.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my full amount of payment credited back to me as well as having my gun and scope fixed or replaced. This weapon was brand new and had only been fired once by myself. I would also like this business to either be penalized or shutdown as this has not been the only incident to which has been reported. There are many cases on the internet where individuals have faced the same circumstances or worse. This business and it's owners are disgusting and should be closed down for good.
