I left car there to check the check engine light was on and and what was wrong the service manager called me and I explained the issue and he said he would check it
he call me back later that day and told me I needed a new trans and gave me a price of 9000.00 to which I said no thank you I will come pick up my car and then told me I owned them $279.75 I said for what he said for checking the car I said you did not tell me that before you checked the car I would have told you for get it
so I went to pick up the car and I said to the girl at desk I said to her that's a lot of money to check a car and do nothing to it she said didn`t the service manager tell you there was a charge for checking the car I said no he did not

In response to case # XXXXXXXX, on 1/2/2019 when the vehicle was dropped off for a diagnostic procedure for the cause of a check engine light being on the customer was informed at that time by the service advisor that there will be a charge of $125.00 for the first level of diagnostic time.
We do not perform any work with out a customers authorization.
When the vehicle was checked there were numerous faults codes stored in the system, P1449,P1245,P1245,P0128. There were faults in the EVAP system, Air injection system, Thermostat, and Transmission. This required the technician to require a second level of diagnostic time. ( If it is necessary to go into a second hour the customer is called and informed that it will require more time and there will be an additional charge, and the customer is asked to authorize the additional time. ) Once the second level of diagnostic time was completed we were able to provide the customer with what would be required to start to repair the vehicle, the customer declined the repairs and chose to pick up the vehicle.
This customer had their vehicle in the shop prior to this visit on 12/10/18 for the same issue, at that visit there was no charge because the customer had cleared any faults which were in the system prior to the service visit, so there was nothing for us to check. The customer was informed to drive the vehicle until the condition returns or the light comes back on.
On the visit of 1/2/2019 at no time did the customer speak with myself or the service manager.
The process stated above for dropping off a vehicle for diagnostic time, or any procedure, is always followed, and once again as stated above, we do not bring a car into the shop without first getting a customers authorization.
I have attached copies of the service history for this vehicle.

they are lying through their teeth I only had two codes that's it when he called me to let me that my trans was bad he never said there was a charge for checking the car and the girl at the desk said he never told you there was a charge and I said no he did not and I never said I had the car any where else

On 4/22/2019 Mr *** was called and asked to come in so we could credit his debit card in the amount of $119.00.
Paperwork was supplied to him at that time documenting the transaction.
