Don's Plumbing

Plumber was at my house 4 times for a very small leak right at the slab. In those 4 visits he only capped 2 pipes and opened the slab. Got nothing but the run a round. I was given an estimate of $1200 for the job after the 4th visit when I insisted I needed to know what this is all going to cost. They were scheduling 2 plumbers for a day to repair the leak, replace 2 outside faucets and replace the shutoff valve to the well bladder. I told them no, tell me what I owe you to date and we are done. They gave me on phone a billing of $250, which I paid by credit that day. A week later I get another bill for an additional $85 after I was told that the $250 covered all work to date. I paid this because I didn't want bad credit due to them. I contacted another local plumber who sent one man out. He worked maybe 2 hours and finished all we needed. I was charged $250 for the full job and everything works great. Big rip off. I am convinced that because Don's knew we were filing an insurance claim for the leak damage that they were trying to capitalize on the insurance claim.
