our hotel. As the city events have grown over the last few years surrounding the [redacted] Santa Clause Parade weekend, we have seen a need to change our accommodations to a weekend stay for this annual date. As you know, our property is in the heart of the festivities, including a street closure preventing access to our parking lot anywhere from 4pm-8pm on Saturday. In past years where one night stays were accepted, we were sold out the Friday night before the Parade due to Black Friday shopping. This sell out created a full 100 room turn over on Saturday.
As you may appreciate, many guests prefer to check in early on Saturday afternoon, before the 3pm check in time so they can relax and settle for the day and evening. Unfortunately ,this early Saturday afternoon check in was not possible as the rooms had only vacated for 11am check out time. This situation created many complaints from our guests who were waiting in long line ups at the 3pm check in time.
