I will recommend Door To Door Transport whenever I hear someone needs a vehicle transportedOn a scale of 1-5, I'd give it four starsNothing is perfect, but the positives far out weigh the negatives Cons: I gave a date for when I'd like my vehicle picked upI was told they could make that date, but then they weren't able toThey didn't tell me this until the day they were supposed to pick up my vehicle I give them a break on this one because it was a few days after the New Year that I'd wanted it picked up Pros: They made amends for the delay in picking up my vehicle They were always very courteous on the phone and explained everything clearly They gave an accurate estimate on how many days it would take for the vehicle to arrive The dispatcher called the day before the vehicle arrived and gave an estimated time of when the delivery would be made The driver called a few hours out to let me know a more accurate time They took excellent care of my vehicle The driver was very helpful and kind, even though I forgot it was COD
Stay away from this CompanyFrom the pickup to delivery, it was a complete nightmare They changed the pickup date & time at least three timesDuring the journey *** was unnavailable to return any of my callsThe truck driver was the only person that would call me back and give me updates Finally the vehicle was dropped off at Long Beach to start the sail to Hawaii The driver was the person that notified me the vehicle was dropped off During the transport to Hawaii, the trucking Company that Door to Door hired, kept calling me asking for their payments I was under the impression that the Company (Door to door) I've contracted was responsable to take care of that So I did pay them I guess *** was only looking to get his part of the deal
Once the vehicle arrived in Hawaii, I was surprised that my vehicle sustained damages to the hood and bumper on my semi new $65,Audi Qwith miles on it *** didn't want to release the car to me because even though I could proove the vehicle was mine *** had setup the transport in a way that he was the only one that could authorize the release of the vehicle He had to fax a release to *** and after a delay, which was keeping me from returning to work, I finally was able to get my car and filed the claim on damages A month later, *** came back prooving that the damages on the hood were done by the trucking company before *** took delivery of the car There were two big dents in the hood one each side and the rear bumper was scratched
Door to door gave me a copy of the million dollar insurance from MB Trucking which should be responsible for the damages I did contact the insurance myself to find out that they only cover damages to my vehicle in case the truck catches on fire or got into an accident while transporting my car Not damages to the car that occur during transport*** and MB Trucking couldn't come up with a solution or answer my emails Resuming, The vehicle was pickup in Texas in mid December and finally arrived in mid JanuaryWe are now in May and three weeks and $dolars later from my pocket, I'm still waiting for my vehicle to be fixed Stay away from *** and Door to door Transport The dollars cheaper from others is not worth itWatch out for these brokers ! They promise everything until they collect your money and SOL after that
