I rented a duplex from Paramount and upon move-out the condition of the unti was excellent, I have picturesMy security depost was $I rec'v $ Ripped off by Paramount RealtyI paid a security deposit of $on July 28, 2016, for a unit at [redacted] , NC, managed by ParamountUpon move out July 28, 2017, I left the unit in excellent condition and have very detailed photos to support my statementsHowever, Paramount refunded just $of my security deposit after charging me erroneously to avoid refunding my total secuirty deposit

I rented a house from this company 2+ yrs they are very unprofessional, uncaring and basically slum lordsIt took week to have a hot water heater repaired which left me without hot waterOver a year to get my fireplace fixed which never worked when I moved in and was told they would revisit it later in the year BC spring and summer is quickly approchingThere was a leak on the home with left damage to thr living room ceilingGuess how it was repaired "painted over with mismatch paint" when I complained I was told it did not take away from the structural integrity of the homeLastly I would say when I moved in the carpet was worn, I complained and was told to put it on the rental check list and it would be fixedMind you this house is about 13+ years old and still has the same carpet from when it was initially builtBasically they sent people out to my home several times for repairs and assessments but no work was done All these appointments I had to make myself readily availableFinally they offered to repair the carpet only downstairs after I would sign another one year leaseI refused to sign another lease and was told I had to move within daysThe lease was initially for a month needless to say when I moved from there I was paying with the increases and no repairs from the companyThey are big on stating they must get the owner's approval before they do any work, well that doesn't stop you from wanting my money every month on time! People do yourself a favor and stay far away from Paramount Realty Solutions of Apex North Carolina

The company refuses to release us from our lease without penalty after the home has flooded and become uninhabitable
On September 3rd two pipes in the home burst, flooding the propertyFor three weeks we have stayed in the hotelMy phone calls have been completely ignoredEmails are slow to arrive, and neglect to answer our questionsThe property manager claims that demolition had been completed, this is simply untrueRepairs have not even begun on the propertyOur insurance company is concerned by the pace of repairs, but paramount will not give them information when they call or return their callsNow we are being faced with being sent out of the hotel with nowhere to goThe home does not even have a kitchen at the moment or an upstairs bathroomIt is uninhabitable for a family of fiveThe lease clearly states that the home is to be kept in habitable conditionI realize that accidents happen, but I still need a place to liveWhenever I cak the company the staff is alw

When I needed to find an agent to help me manage my home for rental purposes I felt that Paramount Realty was going to be an honest company and one that would be easy to have a working relationship with, given that I would be out of the country for 90% of the year They found the first tenant and as soon as the lease was up, smoothly transitioned to a different tenant They were able to keep the house in good shape so that eventually, when I was ready to sell, in less than weeks, they found a tenant who was able to purchase the house effortlessly, allowing me to be free to pursue other goals in my life This family is amazing and their strong work ethic and Christian principles have shown through in everything they have done for me so selflessly They and their wonderful office staff did a lot for me, going over and beyond what anyone would expect I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who needs either tenants, to sell their house, or someone to manage the home if they travel frequently or reside overseas *** and Mr***, THANK YOU

They refused to meet me at my rental property to exchange funds for keysThey made me drive over an hour to acquire keys to the rental property, then demanded that I give them the $3,at another rental locationI asked if it would be acceptable for me to give them half of the funds, drive an hr back to the property, try the key to see if it actually opened the home and then drive the hr back to them to give them the rest of the funds "No, that's very inconvenient for me", was their responseAfter almost mins of explaining to them why I didn't think it was unreasonable for me to want to make sure the key worked before giving them thousands of dollars at a random property that had a lock box on the door, they finally agreed to drive to the home with me to try the keyBefore this ordeal I was told I'd be meeting someone at a bank to exchange funds for keys, then I was told I was meeting a man at his home office, then was told to drive to this random property to find out I was actually meeting a woman at what clearly was NOT their property, or an officeI requested the home be cleaned before I moved in, I was assured it had beenThe property was left filthy after the "cleaning"When I moved in a noticed that there were no filters in my ac ducts and it took over emails/requests for the "agency" to send me air filters They had continually processed my rental payments late resulting in additional feesAfter I realized this was happening I called my bank daily in order to see when exactly they were processing my payments to verify my concernsThankfully, I have managed to fixed this problem myself by paying my rent weeks in advance so if they do chose to wait longer than days to process it I can address the issueIt took them almost months to send someone to the house to make repairs to the items that were broken when I moved inI eventually had to fix the problems myself because they were not able to come to the property to refix their workThere have been electrical issues that I originally thought involved the ac control panel, but have recently learned are actually electrical issues corresponding to the doorbellThere was a strong smell of burning wires/plastic and after reporting the issue, their Live Chat representative left the conversation...TWICE and with NO resolveI left multiple messages with their office and I of course followed up w *** trying to get a hold of someone from this "business", I received an email back over hrs later recommending that I stay in a hotel and suggesting that if the building caught fire my renters insurance would reimburse them for anything that was lostNow they are charging me a fee of almost $When I inquired about the fee I was originally told it was for air filtersMy lease states that the air filters in my house are to be supplied by the landlord every daysIt also states that the only filters that can be installed are the filters supplied by the landlordI sent another email because I felt that their response didn't add upBecause #I never received new air filters and #the lease explains that they're not my expenseThey then told me it was for repairsI inquired again bc no repairs had been madeThey ignored my emails until I sent follow ups asking for them to directly state what the fee was forAgain, they gave conflicting responses and dodged directly answering my questionsThese are only a handful of the issues I have dealt with, with these peopleThis is a family owned establishment, they have no actual office building, have poor to NO communication, use documents that contain typos and misprints, and their brokers and "accountants" do not have formal educations in their assigned fieldsI have made a horrible mistake signing a month lease w this circusLastly, I'd like stated that I have no issues with family owned businesses as long as they are run ethically and their operational practices are professionalHowever, Paramount Realty Solutions lacks everything a family owned business should be

horrible response to request for repairs Heating fireplace broken used as part of heat, repairs not done in timely manner ( weeks in the winter) Waiting for landlord to respond due to "cost of repair" Currently in ice and snow storm and company had the audacity to send a letter saying tenant responsible for any damage if pipes burstall while not correctly fixing heating source that would work if power goes out I have been a responsible homeowner for over years and am renting since relocated This lack of response if unprofessional and discourteous to tenant

Failure of Paramount Realty to return our security deposit
We rented a single family home from Paramount Realty for a year (while searching for a home since we were new to the state), during which time we were excellent tenants We chose to terminate our lease days early due to purchasing a home I communicated with *** *** several times prior to our termination I sent him a termination request on Dec 5th at 7:47pm, informing him of our desire to terminate as of Feb 15th Then in Jan, when I followed up to se EXACTLY what needed to be done in order to receive our full deposit back, he attempted to tell me that I had not given them the appropriate advance to terminate on the 15th After going round and round with him, he finally acknowledged that he did in fact receive the early termination request He then went on to inform me that we would have to pay an early termination fee, AND that we would have to continue to pay rent until March 31st, our lease end date Afte
