When we are forced to source from outside the local radius we use one of two distributors out of San Francisco that source from all over the world. However, we stick to only items that are sourced from California, and occasionally Oregon and Washington during winter for things like apples and pears when our local season does not have any winter fruit. In about 2 cases our distributors have made the error of giving us a case that may not be what we ordered and may have been from mexico which was the case with bell peppers and I think tomatoes. Because we package the day of delivery we had to use the produce that was in those cases.
