The customer signed this document and was given a copy The dress that the customer purchased needed alterations, which is the case with almost every gown in our store, no matter what the price is. All customers are told that we do alterations in our store, but we do not require that they be done here, We do even provide a list of local seamstresses If the customer asks. This customer purchased the gown about a year prior to beginning alterations. Our seamstresses did the fitting and provided the customer with an estimate for the charges. In fact, this estimate Included a few alterations that were done that our seamstress chose not to charge her for when she certainly could have. The customer also signed this estimate and was given a copy. At this point, the customer could have still chosen to take the dress elsewhere for her alterations, I truly believe that no member of my staff misrepresented our charges or policies In any way. As Doreen has insisted from the beginning of our store almost 25 years ago, and as a locally, family-owned business, we want to make each individual feel special and help make their wedding day the best day of their lives. Please be assured that we certainly take it to heart when we hear that a customer does not feel they were treated in such a manner. I have included copies of the signed documents.
