I booked this moving company through a site called Unpakt and was originally very excitedThey were contracted to move a one bedroom apartment about blocks in Manhattan
My new landlord requested a certificate of insurance, which Dorothy and Martha sent overHowever, upon further inspection, it was decided that the certificate had clearly been alteredExpiration dates had been whited out and typed inValues and the names of the policy holders had been changedPlain and simple, the document was forgedThe certificate of liability insurance was a shamThey couldn't produce one that the management company would accept because "the insurance company was closed", so they uselessly offered to reschedule the moveI only had one day of notice and was left high and dry to find new movers at the last minute
This company admitted to regularly modifying and circulating documentation from their insurance company once it had already been signedThis is the clearest definition of fraud and what they're doing clearly isn't legal
