In March, 2015, I purchased a gold and diamond ring over the Internet It needed to be resized Although the seller said it should cost $10-$for resizing, I took the ring to Dorothy She said the ring was, indeed, gold and diamonds She also said that when resizing the settings would come loose, so the settings need to be tightened, which would cost more than just resizing---$ I agreed
At the same time, my husband dropped off two watches for batteries and one band repair
I picked up the ring and, to my shock, one stone fell out and was lost four days later! I contacted Dorothy She said she stood behind her work, but she would not commit to replacing the lost diamond at no additional charge to me
I returned to ring to the person from whom I'd purchased it to have the diamond replaced and, because the band was still too large, to have the ring resized
In the meantime, my husband was upset because Dorothy had charged him more than her associate and daughter, Michelle, normally charged He paid, picked up what he thought were his two watches (in a paper envelope), and left Later, he was disgruntled to realize one of the watches was not his---it has day of the week in Spanish and did not work *** is and has congestive heart failure---he did not opt to deal further with the upsetting developments with Dorothy
Soon after this, I was stunned when the person from whom I'd purchased the ring told me that he believed one of the stones now in the ring was not what he had sent me and had been replaced with a fake I later asked him to replace the fake stone with a diamond, and he told me he had already done so at no additional charge
On Monday, July 6, 2015, I called Dorothy to discuss these matters She said she was with a customer and would return my call between 4:30-5:p.m I agreed, left her our home phone number, and told her she could call in the evening, as well She did not call
