Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The last time someone other than Dorsett's changed my oil was over a year ago. My vehicle has had at least (8) consecutive oil changes from Dorsett's and it didn't leak until after my last oil change in March 2017. If the oil pain drain plug threads had been stripped by someone other than Dorsett's, it would've leaked immediately and not waited over a year to do so. When the oil leak was first discovered and I took it back to Dorsett's to be evaluated, I was approached by Brandon with a part in his hand and advised he had received 5-other identical complaints after oil changes and they must've received some defective parts. I also don't see how the age and mileage of my vehicle is relevant since the drain plug threads should last indefinitely unless installed improperly when they put the plug back in after the oil changes. I also have paperwork and there was no documentation about the oil plug or oil pain issue or any urgent needs. It's very disappointing that Dorsett's wouldn't properly repair the damage that they have caused. I have been a loyal customer for over (10) years and they have lost my trust and respect with regard to how they have handled this matter. I've had my vehicle repaired somewhere else as a result of their lack of responsibility

To Whom It May Concern:Attached is the recent letter that was sent to our office about a complaintMy first response from Mario H*** Fixed Ops Director, apparently was insufficient.I am also attaching her complete response with timeline,; and additional informationOur claim is that the customer did bring in her vehicle with damage from another locationWe informed her of this and she didn't want to fix at that time, We have done our best to keep the customer happy until there was nothing more that we could do.We did not damage the vehicle and accept no responsibility for repairing an issue caused by the Customer going to another store,If you need additional information or mediation on this, please contact Mario Fl*** at Dorsett's Auto Sales.Donald NP*** JrControllerDorsetts Auto Sales, Inc

According to our service personnel that were dealing with the customer, here is there response. The customer took the vehicle to *** for the original oil change and the vehicle was brought to our dealership because of an oil leak and the oil plug was stripped. We informed the customer
that a pan is needed, but we could try to tap it and fix the problem, which we did for free. We did it again at no charge, but the customer needs an oil pan. It's a Mitsubishi Endeavor with 198,miles. The cost of the oil pan is $and that is what it will take to correct the vehicles leak, that was caused by another company, and this is what the customer was told on her first visit. We don't feel obligated to fix a problem that we did not create, but actually tried to help this customer on two different occasions, at no charge. Upon learning of Mr*** *** dissatisfaction, I called him to see what could be doneMr*** said he was NOT unhappy and that the negative review/complaint had been made by one of his co-workers, who unbeknownst to him, had gotten on Mr*** computer and posted it.Mr*** said
this co-worker was punished for doing that to himHe also graciously apologized for any inconvenience this has caused our businessI made sure he was given his second key, and he subsequently wrote a positive review on the Dorsett Automotive Google website.Mr*** and I are in agreement that this situation has been resolved
