Mr *** is an employee not employer of Creative Learning Center All employees, including Mr *** receive a benefits packet with a specific worksheet with their individual pricing during their on boarding process Mr *** received his packet via email from my firm and was
required to read through all of his options pertaining to his health benefit choices In the first paragraph of the email, It states he's has TWO choices of health carriers to choose from, *** and *** ***. The welcome email then states he should review his individual worksheet with his specific pricing attached to make a decisionALL THE INDIVIDUAL PRICING IS SPELLED OUT here. There are no hidden costs Also included is a summary of benefits for plans that he has to choose from Mr*** is supposed to review all this documentation to help him make his decision I advise after reviewing the entire packet to please contact me via phone or email with any further questions Mr*** contacted me both via phone and email I spent a total of 2-hours on the phone and email explaining the different metal tier levels with health insurance carriers and how co-pays and deductibles works From here, he said he was comfortable making his choice into the LOWEST cost PPO plan available through *** *** that his employer offered We did discuss the option of *** HMO but he said that wouldn't work for him because his DR's are not with *** This topic was never brought up again after that conversation Mr*** asked me to meet him in person and I said this could be easily handled over the phone as we were currently doing I thought after spending this much time with him he was happy and content with his choice I also have emails to back up that he was content with his choice of his current plan.Fast forward 2-months later, Mr*** starts talking to his counterparts about how much each of their PERSONAL health Premiums are He finds out that his counterparts who are years younger are paying considerable lessIT IS NOT MY POSITION AS A BROKER TO DISCUSS OTHER EMPLOYEES PREMIUMS PER HIPPA*** He then sends an email to me asking why his is so expensive compared to other employees and I simply stated, Carries premiums are determined by your age and zip codeHe also become very frustrated with the way his employer is paying him a lot less than what he's use to Mr*** sent this email to the owner of the company and myself He also stated to me he is in financial distress here My response was i'm sorry your in financial distress and I cannot help you in regards to how much *** *** *** Pays you I did state he can possibly lower his premiums a little by switching to a *** plan Dec 1, during Creative Learning Center's Open enrollment Unfortunately I have no control over what premiums *** *** charges you on a monthly basisI don't receive any premium payments as a firm I can only guide you into the lowest cost, best suited plan your employer offers I also have no control over how much *** *** *** pays you My firm specializes in Group Benefits not financial planning
