heartbroken when I heard the amount the salesperson we purchased our vehicle from, was going to give us. I felt cornered. It was either accept the measley amount of $800 he offered to help us with, or accept nothing at all. Money is scarce because of the recent vehicle purchase. We paid the $6,500 the vehicle was being sold for, in cash... And only two days after purchasing it, we were forced to come up with $4,000 more, as the vehicle would not even start. The engine did not work and a new one would have to be purchased. This vehicle purchase has been so stressful, and completely unexpected. The owner of the dealership was also not helpful. He offered to help us, but only with $800. The owner stated the person who he found to install a engine would only charge him $300 for labor. This person would also be doing all this work from his home-garage. Everything the owner said sounded shady. He went as far as saying that "to install a engine, you don't require much experience. It is very simple". The owner stated that because he was a mechanic, he had a lot of expertise regarding this. Coincidentally, he had also found a used motor of 90,000 miles that he would be able to purchase for $1,300. I went to many shops to inform myself regarding prices, and the numbers did not add up. I also inquired about purchasing a new motor v.s. a used motor, and I was recommended by all the shops I visited, to purchase a new one. Buying a used engine did not guarantee the life of the motor. In other words, they stated I would be very likely to have to invest even more money after installing the used engine. This is my hard earned money on the line. Without a vehicle I cannot work. My very livelihood is in jeopardy. I was extremely dissapointed with the overall outcome and the extra expense required. I feel distrustful in buying a vehicle in the future because of the dishonestly in this unfair situation. The only thing stopping me from suing this dealership as a fraud, is my lack of money. What troubles me most is the thought of the many people that might have gone through a similar situation as I, in purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. We already have little money despite of our hard work, and to have it be taken away from us so cold-heartedly is devastating. I will never again purchase a vehicle from this dealership, nor will I recommend them.
