Review: On 9/**/07 I had a slip and fall accident, injuring my lower back & right knee, resulting in a lawsuit against the establishment where the accident occurred.In order to properly diagnose the extent of my injuries I went to Doshi Diagnostic Imaging Services (DDIS). I went to the facility was 9/**/07 and 11/*/07. Upon entry of the facility I gave them my insurance information and my lawyers information (lien). To my surprise on October *, 2013 I received a bill for $949.56 for date of service 11/*/07. This bill also reflected payment by my healthcare insurance for 9/**/07 date of service only. My healthcare insurance paid 9/**/07 date of service but this bill was also submitted to my lawyer to be included in the lien my healthcare insurance had on my case. My lawsuit was settled May **, 2011.Neither I, nor my lawyer was ever notified/contacted informing us this bill was outstanding. Almost six years after the services were rendered they are seeking payment from me due to their error.My lawyer's informed me that a representative from DDIS called the office September **,2013 for the first time concerning this bill and they were told this case has been closed since 2011. Just as a representative from DDIS contacted my lawyer and me via phone and mail in 2013, why was I or my lawyer not contacted before?This is an example of poor account management. This claim was never submitted to my lawyer/healthcare insurance and now DDIS is trying to get payment from me, which this claim is well past the filing deadline.This company is notorious in New York State for its illegal and unscrupulous billing practices. It would very much if they are investigated.Desired Settlement: Since this bill is due to poor account management. It should be adjusted to zero.

Review: I have received a few bills and have called to try to make a payment. I have left messages with my contact info and have not heard back. This week, I received a letter stating that my account has been placed into collections and I once again called and left two messages and again, I have not heard back. I am trying to make a payment with no luck.Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve the issue right away, I take my credit very seriously and this is not right. Doshi should issue a formal apology for the lack of customer service!!

I had my worst unprofessional disrespectful attitude from [redacted] cat scan diagnostic...I had also my appointment at 8 the guy arrived to his work 9:30 am disrespecting his job and his patients.

Review: Doshi Diagnostics preys on people in low income neighborhoods, using intimidation and bullying tactics to scare people into paying inflated and fraudulent charges. Despite repeatedly contacting them (via phone & written communication) and submitting my payment records, I fear that I am going to end up having to pay another $40 in false charges. I cannot afford to have my credit ruined by this issue, so I am being forced to give in to their extortion. I sent both Doshi & Medicredit, their collection agency, the following communication along with proof of payment. In response, I received yet another collection notice dated 8/**.

I had a prescription for imaging services in October 2013 that were supposed to be covered by insurance. At the time of service, I asked if I owed a co pay, and was told no. Insurance ended up denying the claim, so I was stuck with a bill from Doshi for $225. I attempted to call Doshi for WEEKS to arrange payment, yet my calls were not answered or returned. Often, the calls to the Doshi billing department were disconnected with a recorded message stating that the call would be noted, but no opportunity was given to leave a message. Occasionally, a voicemail picked up, and I was able to leave a message, but these calls were never returned.

Frustrated with the many attempts to contact them, I made an online payment of $20 on 1/**/14, and finally spoke with a person on 1/**/14. While on this call, I explained the situation, and I was able to negotiate an adjustment due to the insurance rejecting the claim. I also stated that I was willing to pay the bill, but that I needed to make payments due to my financial situation.

I explained that if I had known the claim would be denied by my insurance I would not have gone in for the imaging service. Since this time, I have been making regular payments, as listed below. I received a collection notice dated 6/*/14 stating that my account was sent to collections due to nonpayment. I called Medicredit, collections company, and explained that I have been paying the debt, that I arranged payments, and that it was paid off. In fact, I just made the final payment this week. The collection company stated that there was nothing they could do; it was only their job to collect the $40 that I owed.

I would like to note that Doshi is very unprofessional in all operations. From making appointments to sending results to physicians to billing, they are rude and difficult to deal with. They constantly lose paperwork and billing records. This billing issue is not the first, either. Despite the convenience of their locations, it is not worth the trouble. They prey on people in low-income neighborhoods, bullying them and treating them horribly.

Review: Doshi is charging $25 administrative fee for late payment when instead I paid my co-payments in full online on their website. I never received their bills although a very rude and argumentative receptionist told me (actually shouted at me) that they were mailed. I actually found out about the amount of my co-payments from my health insurance's broker because Doshi billing dept did not correctly process the claim. Doshi tried to bill me for the full amount of the service conveniently omitting my health care info. I should not, absolutely be charged the $25 fee because of their incompetence and careless handling of claims. Also the insulting manners in dealing with customers should be addressed.Desired Settlement: delete the $25 fee

Review: I had a service performed on 12/**/2012, which I thought would be covered by my insurance. [redacted] said that they did not receive the correct diagnosis codes from my doctor and that is why my insurance would not cover it. I got a bill for $220. I went back and forth with my insurance company and [redacted] about why I should not be responsible for the full amount of the bill. In the meantime, I recieved a bill for $78.98 and paid it immediately. [redacted] then sent me more bills because they still felt I was responsible for the full payment. They even went as far as sending my account to collections. But, I was able to get everything resolved with my insurance company and I informed [redacted] promptly that my insurance would pay 100%. [redacted] agreed and confirmed in an email on 5/**/2013 that I would be reimbursed for the $78.98 that I paid. It is now 7/**/2013 and I still have not recieved my refund. They threatened me by saying they would send my account to collections and now they are taking an extremely long time to refund my payment. I believe this is poor customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $78.98.

In response to the complaint, dated July **, 2013, concerning an alleged complaint made to the Revdex.com- Long Island, Nassau and Suffolk Counties by [redacted], kindly be advised that [redacted] Diagnostic Imaging Services (“DDIS”) categorically denies any allegation of willful misconduct or otherwise in connection with the same.

DDIS does not issue patient refunds until DDIS receives full payment from the patient’s insurance carrier. The Patient paid us on or about 04/**/2013 in the amount of $78.98 and her insurance paid us on 05/**/2013. DDIS refund process customarily takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks or more. Five statements and one in house collection letter were sent to the patient, but she never went into legal collections. Her refund is being processed and she will be refunded accordingly.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, we regret any inconvenience which may have been caused to [redacted] in connection with the above referenced matter.
