03/30/2017   Response to Complaint ID [redacted]:   The timeline to complete the project was delayed due to the lack of availability of the panels that required matching.  We ordered the panels from Metal Mart on IH-10 West and they were back ordered as out of production.  When we...

informed the General Contractor he notified us that they came out of the location in Boerne, Texas. The panels were ordered immediately and did not arrive for three weeks.   We proceeded to install the panels, however, the Stucco Contractor was not complete and we had to wait two weeks for him to finish.  We also installed flashing and blocking for him at no charge. The Stucco Contractor damaged existing panels with fasteners (see photos). This required us to re-order panels that took one additional week.   We billed the Customer for the damaged panels with the intent for him to charge back the Stucco Contractor for the damaged panels. He evidently did not do so. I personally had a conversation with the Customer and waved the additional cost of $1,282.16.   For further clarification the following work not in our contract was performed as a courtesy and in order to demonstrate good will and proper intent to complete the project:   1.  We performed an emergency dry in to avoid damage the carpenter did not prevent the roof from leaking. 2. We installed blocking and base flashings for the Stucco Contractor. 3. We removed and reinstalled (approx. 300 sq. ft.) of panels on the existing roof that were improperly installed and backing water.   We feel we were cooperative and faced disadvantages that are beyond our control. We did not charge the Customer the amount of $1,282.16 and furnished him with a paid in full receipt for the original amount of the contract and further furnished him with a warranty   Please dismiss this complaint as it is clearly in error. There was a misinterpretation or Mr. [redacted] insurance claim, and further misstatement on the part of our Estimator [redacted]  [redacted].
