Coronado Ridge Development Corpwas closed during the Labor Day weekendCoronado Ridge Development received an email dated 9/5/from [redacted] stating that he had contacted our office over the weekend holiday and no one answered and he left a message - which we would not retrieved until that following MondayThis is correct we do not take calls on holiday weekendsIn his email he stated the two car garage door got out of alignment when they opened itHe went ahead and called a garage door repair service that fixed it that same dayHe states it was an emergency and could not leave the door open over the weekendHe also sent us in this email a copy of the invoice from the repair service - Indiana's Choice Garage Doors, LLC - for the amount of $- which we feel is high and that a new door would run around that amount.September 8, - I (Martha B***) sent Mr [redacted] an email stating I was sorry we were closed for the holiday, but we would be willing to pay $towards the invoice that he sent in his 9/5/emailI also expressed to him, that our original install vendor did not ever have a chance to look at this issue to see If parts or labor would be under warrantyI also stated that the vendor's phone number Is always listed on the garage door.September 15, - 1:pm - Mike S***, President of Coronado Ridge Development Corpreceived an email from Mr [redacted] stating - on Saturday he called the Overhead Door - emergency number and got no answerHe also is stating that in is closing package, it states that "if you (the homeowner, me) cannot reach any of the contractors, Coronado will reimburse all repairs completed by any qualified repair companyThe actual wording is: If you cannot reach Coronado Rldqe Development or one of the above contractors(Heatinq & Air - Plumbina - Electric - Roofma) please feeifree to contact any qualified renoir company to make renairs In the event of on emeraencvCoronado will reimburse for leqitimate and reasonable repair of emeraencv conditions that are covered under the limited warrantyThis does not apply to acts of nature or other events beyond our controlOctober 12,- verbally after we had offered him the $reimbursement—Mr [redacted] contact our office and was very rude on the phoneHe would not let me talk, and insisted that if we didn't reimburse him for the full amount, he would put signs in every yard in [redacted] addition so that everyone would know what kind of company Coronado Ridge Devis running.October 12, - Mike S [redacted] wrote an email back to Mr [redacted] stating that he was sorry he felt the way he did; however, after we had contacted Overhead Door, they informed us that they had not received any phone calls from Mr [redacted] MrS [redacted] also stated in his email that since Overhead Door insisted that no calls were received from Mr [redacted] and our position is that a garage door that won't close without us being able to investigate the reason or be able to hold the vendor responsible for their workmanship, does not rise to the emergency service claim intended for water leaks, natural gas leaks, heating or electrical hazardsWe have a very long history with Overhead Door; they are a large organization with hour serviceWe also feel that the amount that was paid to the company that was out was exorbitantMrS [redacted] also stated that the amount was not within reason and do believe there were alternatives available for the situationLastly, he stated, we cannot offer more on your reimbursement without having the opportunity for our vendor to repair or verify what the issue was

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I called the number of the Overhead door, but I got no answer and no option to leave a message. Because it was dangerous for my family to leave the door open overnight through the labor day weekend I decided to call a garage door repair serviceThe reason why it was that expensive is because the door was damaged and the repair technician replaced the rollers and tension spring because the rollers were low quality rollers and worn and the spring was not installed correctly. Their own warranty agreement states that they would pay for any emergency repair in case the homeowner is not able to get it resolved by the builder or vendorThey should fulfill this agreement and pay the outstanding repair amount.The reason I was "rude" on the phone was because I was frustrated with the poor customer care of not responding to my emails for weeks! It is my duty to warn other potential homeowners and I am still planning to inform everybody through warning signs until Coronado Home Builders is finally accepting their own warranty rules and pay me the outstanding amount
