I am rejecting this response because: I am very offended at the accusation I am trying to avoid paying the co-payEspecially since I have paid the billObviously the doctor has not looked into the complaint, because if he had looked into the complaint he would have seen that I have paid my billI do believe the doctor is trying to make excuses for how he handles his billingAgain, the date of my surgery vsthe first time I received the billThat is beyond adequate timingTrue I received excellent care during the surgery, but that was not the basis of my original complaint, again if he would have actually looked into my complaint he would have known my complaint is on the fact of inadequate timely billingI work in an industry that is always implementing new softwareWe are always taking into consideration of laws, statutes, and how these affect the implementation of the new softwareBeing a care provider in the state of Texas, he should have done the sameI tried several times to figure out who was billing me, had to call the hospital to get them to look into the billing address and phone number I was sentThey too were suspicious of the bill and it took them several days to locate who the Doctor was and what exactly I was being billed for. Even if he is a small-shop, health-care provider, he should be held accountable for his actions or lack of actionsHis reaction to my complaint leaves me wondering how many clients he has done this to and just blown off as though it is not a big dealIt is a bid dealHe could be hurting a lot a patients financially, and he shows no remorse for this actionYes health care is important, but timely billing for that health care is a crucial part of the health care and this is the part he did NOT provideMany people need to set up payment plans for their health care, especially if it is urgent like what I went throughBecause of his lack of care about the Texas statute and me as a patient he put me in a financial bind and has no remorse for thatThen tops it off with falsely accusing me of wanting to get out of paying my co-payTo me it is evident he has no regard for the law or for patients he sees, also, let me say I did not pick the anesthesiologist for the surgery, the doctor makes this selectionIf I could have picked the anesthesiologist and had known he was going to have no regards for me financially and not billed me in a timely matter I would have NOT chosen this doctor.When you go in for surgery, especially when it is in an urgent case as mine was, you place your LIFE in the hands of the doctors, part of your LIFE is the financial responsibility of paying for the treatmentThis doctor gives no regards to patients financial life and it is very disheartening that this doctor is being allowed to ignore the statute and continue to practice in this manner

I am transitioning to a new billing company and we have had difficulty issuing timely copay balance billing. I am a solo practitioner. This patient willingly received excellent physician anesthesia services and appears to be trying to avoid paying the copayFor the sake of compromise I
am willing to reduce the balance by fifty percent provided the payment is received within thirty days ( September 24, 2017). After thirty days if payment is not received the balance will revert to the original amount. It is my practice to turn delinquent accounts over to a collection agency
