Ordered bluetooth speaker on 8/11/by redeeming a livingsocial voucher and paying $shippingI selected standard shipping as it said "Regular Shipping 10-Days (Best Way)" which I took to mean delivery within daysOn 8/I notified Dotzila that the shipping address would not be valid after 4pm on 8/and asked them to confirm it would arrive in timeThey responded on 8/that the shipment was delayedI responded same day that if it couldn't arrive by 8/at 4pm I would need to cancel the order or have it routed to a new address (something that can be done with a quick call to any major carrier - I travel for work a lot and have done this mutliple times with each major carrier and dozens of online vendors)On 8/I emailed again asking for an update/response to my email on the 19th - they responded later that day with a tracking number which at the time showed an estimated delivery date of the 26thI emailed again on the 24th when the product was still estimated to be delivered on the 26th asking them to contact the carrier and arrange to have it routed, cancelled or something - Dotzila responded quickly same day refusing to help and said it shipped within their timeframe and it was not their problem if it arrived after days and they would not attempt to re-routeOn the 26th of August I emailed again informing them it had not arrived in time and I no longer had access to that addressThey responded that since it was "delivered" on the 25th (after 4pm when I surrendered the premises and the ability to collect mail or packages) that there was nothing they could doI contacted my former address and they said they refused the package when it arrived as I was no longer a residentSadly this doesn't show in the system likely indicating someone stole the package - I cannot determine if it was the next resident at that address or someone at the complex or the carrier itselfDotzila said again since it was delivered in their timeframe they held up their end of the deal and would not provide any further assistance I contacted LivingSocial who I purchased the voucher through and they immediately refunded the purchase price of the voucher and apologized for the trouble - they agreed this was a situation that could easily have been avoided an they didn't understand Dotzila's refusal to take simple steps to resolve I contacted Dotzila again on Dec 2nd askign them to refund the shipping as I altered them to the problem and gave them ample opportunity to resolve and they failed - so I was out the cost of shipping for something out of my controlThey refused again stating they had fulfiled their commitmentAt this point I alerted my bank who credited me the shipping charge as they also looked at the complete coorespondence and agreed Dotzila had ample opportunity to correct/resolve and refused to do so - thereby keeping my money and failing to deliver a product in a timely manner There are NUMEROUS similar complaints about this company - many accusing them of being a scamI won't go that far but it is clear to me that the ownership isn't interested in doing business but creating situations whereby they can keep as much money as possible regardless of standard business and customer service practices

On 8/18 I notified Dotzila that the shipping address would not be valid after 4pm on 8/25 and asked them to confirm it would arrive in time. They responded on 8/19 that the shipment was delayed.
