LONG REVIEW!
The owner Dwayne is the worst! I lived on one of their properties back in I moved in with another person and we qualified for the home with both incomesThe other person lost their job several months into the lease and was unable to get another job in a reasonable amount of timeI still had my job and was able to pay my portion but ultimately, I ended up having to call the landlord, Dwayne to discuss our optionsDwayne came to the home to discuss the options with me and when it was all said and done we agreed this was 100% out of my control but that we both had to move out as I could not pay the monthly rent with my income alone Completely understandable
Well the roommate moved out several weeks before me, then I moved back to Dallas later that same monthPer the conversation when Dwayne came to the home, (which I did not get in writing so 100% my fault) the entire down payment (almost $1500) would go towards rent and he was going to find another tenant to move in asapHe kept the full deposit but sent me no bill or notice that any additional money was owed in the entire 8yrs that have pastThen years after I moved out of the home (end of 2014), Double D Rentals reported almost $to my creditat the end of 2014!!!!!!!! WTF! Why did they not send me a bill or breakdown of what charges were owed to give me a chance to resolve it? Why did they wait 4yrs to report the debt??? I understand my fault in this situation, but Dwayne is a snakeHe lied to my face then reported it to credit so many years later I had completely forgotten! I moved out on good terms and a verbal understanding
So now 2018, I called and spoke to Darlene (office manager) and she informs me that she will call the collection agency and discuss with them about me paying half the debt instead of holding me responsible for the entire thing! She stated she had done it before (lowered the debt) and would call on my behalfGreat, that was a very fair solution, so I was ready to make the payment of half the debtI called Darlene back the following week to follow up on what the agency had said, and she says Dwayne (owner) told me not to call on your behalf, he said he does not remember speaking with you about this" (how convenient "he doesn't remember")What a load of BS! Here I am trying to pay HALF the debt all these yrs later that I am responsible for, and these people are being HORRIBLE and lyingThe former roommate is in jail so at this point you are ruining any chances of getting paid at all! Makes ZERO sense!!!!!!!!!!
So, instead of being decent and accepting half the money from me, Darlene rudely dismissed me and told me I must pay the whole thingI don't even need the debt removed, I have already purchased a home, so I can wait for it to fall off while you guys sit there wondering why you didn't just take half the moneyBut this is on my credit for several more years and I wanted to resolve it now! Needless to say, they are tricky and sneaky, and it is not worth the headache of dealing with such heartless people like Dwayne & DarleneI have done nothing wrong, I am taking ownership for half the debt and 8yrs later they are still so greedy they wouldn't know decency if it slapped them both in the face!
STAY AWAY from Double D Rentals and for those that must have Double D Rentals as a landlord, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!!

Darlene Stanford has to be out of her mind I cleaned the apartment up from Head to toe Vacumned and cleaned the carpet, bathroom, stove, refrigerator etc Apt looked better than when I moved in I moved for cheaper rent being a senior citizen and all This property rental is ricdiculous Low water pressure and roach & rat infested property The only thing is that this property mgr is total in sane

She has been told if she has mailed additional payments by money order she should have them tracedMoney order receipts are not proof of payment, We have had people say they mailed money orders and later admitted they cashed them or used them for other
purposes
Ms *** has also filed a claim against us in small claims court for August
She is in violation of our contract for non payment, Per our contract we have access to our property hours per day seven days per week
After the court date the driver will be instructed to pick up our carport unless she pays the payoff amount of $1,plus his feeShe is no longer considered a desirable rent to own clientAny legal expense will be at her expense per the contract
As to the price of the rabbits I used to raise Flemish GiantsA good doe could be purchased for $to $I was lucky to get $each for the little ones at eight weeks

Various problems wrong with apartmentBathroom door has come off the henges and there is one nail that is not the size of the othersRefrigerator door handle has come offWall in bathroom had tissue that was painted over and had a hole in the wallToilet in other bathroom is not bolted completely to the floor

Changing contract terms, not in writing, without notice
Original contract/lease: 1/22/16-1/31/= Item - 'A written accounting of said charges shall be presented to Resident within 30-days of move-out'This detailed information was not provided until the 31st dayThe fees that are being assessed have been added to the fees owed for current unit rented$payment for pet was paid each month for term of leaseWhat do these funds get applied to?
Second contract/lease: 2/1/- 1/31/- Item - 'If residents get a pet without consent, resident must pay the prior months of lease pet fee of $per month, in advance, and then $a month pet fee thereafter'; Item - If residents get a pet without consent, they will be charged $for a lease violation along with $for all prior months of lease and $a month for remaining months of lease'So basically they state that not only do you get a pet violation fee, you still have to pay $a month, and no where does it indic

As to the price of the rabbits I used to raise Flemish Giants. A good doe could be purchased for $8.00 to $10.00. I was lucky to get $5.00 each for the little ones at eight weeks.
