I purchased a pair of slip-on boots 8/5/2015 and within one month the stitching has come loose on left boot and both liners have ripped.[redacted]Desired SettlementI forwarded pictures to them only to have them refuse a refund citing wear. As my first pair lasted 4 years before needing to be replaced I would suggest/assume this to be a manufacturing issue. [redacted]I would like my money refunded.Business Response [redacted] contacted us 3 months after he received his work boots, we have a 30 return/exchange policy. We had extended a discount of 50% off on these buts. When he came to us with his complaint, we requested pictures. Upon reviewing the pictures we concluded that his issue with his boots was caused by wear and tear. They were not a manufacturing defect. Our work boot are very popular and we have not had any issues with the inside of the boots. [redacted]Consumer Response [redacted] Their arguments: a) you contacted them 3 months after getting the boots and they have a 30 day exchange/return policy Irrelevant considering there is a warranty on the boots.b) You got a 50% discount on the boots.Great, so they offered you a deal and you took it. Doesn't mean the warranty is void or the condition of the boot should be different.c) Reviewing the pictures led to the conclusion that it was wear and tear.This would be an appropriate conclusion if they had been worn, or torn, in anything resembling a stressful environment. I would also like to know how the manufacturer was able to determine the difference between wear-and-tear and defect based on the photos.d) The boots are very popular and there have been no issues with the boots.[redacted] the warranty is in place to compensate customers for potential issues issues which are implied to potentially exist through having the warranty to begin with.Their arguments are weak."Since there is a warranty on the boots (which has not expired) and that the boots were not stressed in a high-wear environment I request a full refund.
