Review: I ordered a replacement bulb (also called lamp) for my ViewSonic PJD5134 projector from D.L.T. inc. (contact name: [redacted]) on January **, 2015. This was purchased through [redacted] from D.L.T. incs online store. The item description is listed exactly as this, Viewsonic PJD5134 Projector Original Replacement Lamp Bulb P-VIP 230W 0.8 E20.8. This seems clearly the exact same bulb for my model PJD5134 for Viewsonic. I received my item within one week and immediately replaced the bulb. Immediately upon pressing the power button, a large pop was heard, followed by a burning smell. I immediately thought it was the bulb, given the sound, so I went to investigate. I saw no damage to the bulb whatsoever and could not figure out what went wrong. I inserted my original bulb to be replaced (which was still working, but dimming and was not as sharp in contrast) and this no longer worked. The sound and cooling fan still functioned properly. I then proceeded to test the main power supply that feeds the bulb with a voltmeter. There was no power at this source, but power at the main power supply. It was then I investigated the bulb I purchased and noticed it was labeled 230 Watt, while my original manufactured part was 180 Watt. This was not the original replacement bulb for my model after all. After about two weeks of e-mailing back and forth, the seller admitted the item description was incorrect, changed their title for the product and offered me a replacement cost for a faulty power cord (which I clearly explained was not the issue). After my rejection, the seller would not settle nor admit fault to my claims. I am extremely disappointed with the sellers method of dealing with several wrongdoings, including: 1. lack of knowledge about their own product and irresponsibility selling it to the public; 2. admitting the listing of an incorrect item, but not accepting fault for the damage of my personal property; and 3. the general disregard of proper business ethics or customer satisfaction.Desired Settlement: I purchased my projector a year and a half ago from [redacted] for $334.99. It is now listed at $309.99. I have been without it now for over a month since this problem began. I am without several paid subscriptions that I am not able to use, including [redacted] instant videos, Netflix, and XBOX Live subscriptions. I want my projector back in my home working as normal. A simple bulb replacement has turned into a potentially major loss for me. I am seeking the current amount for replacement.
