These guys should be ashamed of themselves. After my wife and 4 children were involved in a car accident the police informed me "double n" would come and tow the truck to their location up the block from the accident. Instead the car was delivered to a place 5 miles away. When I called the next day to arrange pick up at 3:30 pm I was told they close at 3. This was an obvious way to keep my car for another day since they actually closed at 5 pm. The next day I was presented w/ a bill for $418.21!! - towing:$170 - yard charge? $45 - labor? $65 storage - $105. The storage was $35 per day for 3 days (charging me for the day of the accident as well even though it arrived there at 4pm), so what's the yard charge they are already charging $35 per day. $65 labor? , Isn't that supposed to be part of the outlandish price of $170 for towing. When I arrive to get the truck and question the bill I am informed that I will not receive the truck until it is paid for. I hand them my credit card to pay there ransom and now I'm informed it is cash only!! Another obvious way to get the car to stay another day. As a small business owner I was appalled at not only the way they are taking advantage of people in a vulnerable time but also in the way they treated me in general. I will never have a car towed from an accident scene again and I certainly hope this place receives the bad karma it so richly deserves

Review: Auto shop "Double N" sent a tow truck to pick up my car that would not start. Car was in my driveway. All electric worked along with battery, but engine would not start. I gave the driver of the tow "[redacted]" 2 of my keys because he thought the problem might be an issue with the sensor in my car not reading the chip in my keys. [redacted] tried both keys and neither worked. He towed the car to the shop. I was called to say I needed a starter, and authorized the work based on the fact that "[redacted]" examined the car and keys and determined it was not the key sensor. My husband picked up the car a few days later, paid the shop and was given the car as it was running. 2 days later I looked for the 2nd key and found broken parts of the key stuffed into a dash compartment.

My husband went to the shop the same day and asked why the key was broken. [redacted] told him he had no idea, and said the key is "corroded" anyway. He said the [redacted] was away and would contact him when he got back. My husband left the broken key parts with [redacted]. A few days later, 12/**/14, I received a call from "[redacted]" the [redacted] says the key is corroded and said I dropped the key in acid (!) or saltwater. I told him that that is the key I have used every day for 4 years and the 2nd key was always left in the house as a spare. [redacted]'s was unable to provide a reason as to why the key was broken while in his possession but claims the car wouldn't start because the key was corroded! I asked why then did he replace a starter and charge me $380 instead of telling me that the key was the problem. [redacted] would not answer this question. He said he would not help me other than offer me $15 for a plastic part for the broken key--even though he said the key wont work.

30 minutes later my husband called and spoke with [redacted] told him the key was corroded and would not work. My husband asked why he replaced the starter, he was told the car needed a starter. My husband asked why the key was destroyed while at the shop. [redacted] replied he has "no idea, but sometimes employees don't always tell the truth. Doesn't that happen in your business?" My husband answered "no, that does not happen in my business". [redacted] was raising his voice and continued to change his story, even blaming coworkers for his shop's problem. I told [redacted] I would contact The Revdex.com , [redacted], his website and [redacted] page to report his handling of this situation. [redacted] said "if you do that I will sue you for libel" and then "this issue isn't worth my time, go [redacted] yourself!" then hung up the phone.Desired Settlement: I am demanding a full refund of $380+ for a starter and labor that was unnecessary and a replacement of the computer chip key that was destroyed while in Double N's possession. This key is estimated at a replacement price between $300 and $400. This is because it is my belief that Double N Automotive could have resolved my issue by telling me that I needed a new key, and not excessively charging me for a starter and labor that was not needed. I paid cash to Double N Automotive via a debit card.
