I hired this company owned by Ben D[redacted] to run a gas line to two outdoor lanterns. I found out last month that during the process my sprinkler system water line was broken because it was cut into when the gas line was installed.....he didn't tell me. To top it off the gas line wasn't installed to code. Shelby County Code Enforcement has cited Mr D[redacted] and he will have to appear in court mainly because he isn't licensed to do this kind of work. He told code enforcement he would refund my money. He had until yesterday to do it.....haven't heard from him. My suggestion is stay away from doing any business with this dishonest man.","neg-1

Complaint[redacted], plumber, did a poor job on installing line from st. to house. Flooding occurred. He promised to pay $40. water bill a month ago.No pay.[redacted], Plumber, and his workers did a poor job of installing a new water line from the street to our house. He charged $1200. They did not attach the line properly to the water meter and it caused major flooding for three days, before he finally came back to fix it. He promised to pay our water bill. The water bill and sewer bill came to $50. He only agreed, after much haggling on the phone and his being rude, to pay $40. That was over two months ago. We have called him numerous times and he has yet to pay us back anything. The date the work was done was 12/4/16. My husband paid him $1200. on that date, by check. I was nice to Mr. [redacted] and said he could just send us a check. He said he doesn't deal in checks. He took a check from us. Strange. The Revdex.com has one address on him. We have two other addresses. On the receipt is [redacted] XXXXX. Phone XXX-XXX-XXXX. He has promised over and over to show up this date and that date. No show. He does not return our calls now. He did us wrong once in the past, too. He charged us $75. to come out for something that he had messed up. He tore out part of our wall in the master bathroom and the debris clogged up the bathroom faucet. It took him one minute to clean it out and he charged us $75. for that. His shoddy work was the cause of the flooding out front. We had him install a new water line from our house to the water meter down near the street. We have an acre of land, so that was a good distance. He left his workers to finish attaching the line to the water meter and they messed up. That was late that afternoon, so we didn't notice until the next day that we had a severe flooding problem in our front yard near the street and our ditch was full of fast flowing water. We called Mr. [redacted] and he finally came back out days later to fix the problem of his making. He charged us $1200. right after he and his workers did the work. He scoffed at me when I called him and said we had a flooding problem, saying the water bill wouldn't be high. He made us wait until we got the bill and sent him a copy of it. It actually came to more than $40. with the extra cost for the sewer overload. Anyway, he came out in person and paid me the $40. after 3 months of his promising to come here over and over. Just send a check, I told him. "I don't deal in checks", he said. Funny, he took a $1200. check from my husband. We are senior citizens, although I don't look like one. Anyway, he's been acting funny on the phone and then in person, like he's been drinking or on drugs. When he came banging on our door to pay us, I nearly jumped out of my skin!
