This has been a HORRIBLE experience buying a Doughboy poolWe purchased a Doughboy buried pool with cut out stepsWe later found out that Doughboy pool does not make these steps they buy them from a third partyBecause it is not made by Doughboy, it was back ordered for weeks, putting our install date days behind what we were toldOnce the pool FINALLY came to get installed it took the pool installers an extra day to put in because of the stairsSo once they get the stairs in and the pool installed and filled hours later our stairs are leaking and gushing out water at such a fast pace that our yard starts to floodAt midnight we had to have someone come out and pump it out as to not flood our basement Our pool installers later showed us in the stairs manual that the stairs are from a third party and how they are suppose to be put in according to the manual is not possible on Doughboy poolsSo for obvious reasons we decided we do not want them to replace the cut out stairs and would just like a pool with no cut out stairs since the stairs are poorly made and broke hours after being installedThe next day I find out that Doughboy is only going to replace the step and give a new poorly manufactured and not made for Doughboy third party stepThe following day at 10:I call Doughboy and ask to speak with their customer service supervisorI leave a message with her and wait about an hour and still had not heard back from herThen I call at 11:and am put on hold until 12:where the customer service supervisor then proceeds to put me to her voicemailI immediately call back and the operator informs me that everyone has gone to lunch! So I was put on hold for minutes and she ignores my call to go to lunch! I explain to the operator how extremely rude this is and that is not how you run a business and she agreed and said she is so embarrassed for how I am being treated, but there was nothing she could doI then called back at 1:because I had STILL NOT received a call backI then get put through to the managerHe assures me that he understands why I would not want to go through this again and get another cut out stepHe tells me that he will make it right and I explained "making it right" to me is not replacing the step, but instead getting us a different pool without that stepHe assured me that, that is going to happen and they want to make us happyHe tells me he will contact me on Monday to give me final detailsMonday I end up having to contact them because no one had contacted meHe then proceeds to tell me they are only going to be replacing the stepsTheir pool and stairs are poorly made and I will NEVER go with Doughboy again and I will NEVER let anyone I know go through themThey are unprofessional, rude, and do not care about the customers Doughboy has made us feel like the bad guys because they gave us a broken poorly made pool! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
