Jan. 2010 while in Tx for the winter, the paper had for all veterans to come to this meeting about benefits. I met with lawyer and he assured me that I would surely get these benifits if my assets were under $80,000. He charged $4,000.00 and promised he would refund the $4000.00 if I did not receive these benifits. But he said I would get them. I have assets of under $80,000, closer to $[redacted] and have been denied any benifits. Have appealed it but again denied. Have called many, many times to Mr. [redacted]'s office but he refuses to talk to me. His secretary tells me she will tell him to call and I have left messages on his voice mail to please give me a call but he refuses. I want the $4000.00 back that he promised. I should receive interest also but will settle for the $4000.00.
