The worst businessman I've ever met. He promised to do an appraisal for me, required I pay for it through paypal before he releases it and once payment was made NEVER heard from him again. Numerous attempts to contact him have gone unanswered. What's even worse, I referred him to a client and he was unresponsive to them as well. This is NOT how you do business. If I could do less stars I would! Shame on you Douglas!

Review: After multiple phone conversations and emails (have copies of all), [redacted], a real estate appraiser licensed in the state of VA, agreed to perform a written appraisal report on my 86 year old Mother's home. We agreed to a fee of $195.00. He came to the property on 12/5/14. At the completion of his inspection, he requested and was given payment in full (check) of $195.00 for the inspection and for him to complete and deliver the report upon its completion. [redacted] cashed the check on 12/8/14 (have copy of the paid/cancelled check). Having not recieved the report by 12/16/14, we contacted [redacted] by phone (left messages), and email. He responded 12/18/14 via email and gave excuses for the delay, and stated he "hoped to have it finished by that evening" (12/18/14). Since that date we have never recieved the report, a refund, or any contact from [redacted]. This despite our having sent numerous emails (have copies), phone messages, a certified mail letter demanding delivery of the completed report or a refund (1/12/15), a second Priority Mail demand letter (1/22/15). This man is a theif who takes money to perform a service from an 86 year old widow, cashes the check, never provides the service, and then disappears. He made no attempt to explain the situation, find a solution, or respond in any way. Just a straight out rip off. AVOID THIS CROOK!Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of our $195. At 86 and on a fixed income, our Mother considers this a significant amount of money. Also, the purpose for which she needed the report has long since past, and we would now have no confidence in any report written by this theif.

Review: [redacted] previewed my home for appraisal purposes, taking pictures & measurements on 12/29/14, stating that he'd have appraisal complete by 1/2/15. He emailed an invoice on 12/31/14, stating when he rec'd pymt he'd send appraisal. Check was sent & cleared my bank on 1/8/15. To this date, 1/15/15, I nor the real estate agent that referred him & was present during the appraisal, cannot get any response from him, via emails, or numerous phone messages. He will not respond and I have no appraisal.Desired Settlement: [redacted] needs to mail a certified funds check to me immediately.

Review: I contacted [redacted] about doing a property appraisal.He performed the appraisal in December 2014.He did not send me the appraisal or a bill.I called, emailed and texted him many times.Two weeks later he responded that he required payment prior to releasing the appraisal.A check was sent to him during the last week of December 2014.He has not sent the appraisal.He does not respond to phonecall, text, email or certified letter.Please find him and have him send me the appraisal.Thank you.Desired Settlement: I want him to send me the appraisal or refund the money
