I took my Cadillac CTS in to have the front bumper repainted It had been repainted twice in the last years and the paint was flying off The job was done on time at a reasonable cost and the result looks like new To this point I a pleased with the workmanship
Not good at allI was in an accident and my attorney recommended Daves Body Works for my carOne of the damages was the back panel of my driver seat that popped out due to the car seat jamming up behind itDuring the inspection, I pointed out the damageThe inspector popped the piece back in and said it was fixedI, knowing nothing about cars, assumed they knew what they were doing and it was in fact fixedI also figured since they say their work is lifetime guaranteed that I could bring it back if there were any more issues with the seatPopping it back in to place was in fact their work
Fast forward a month later: I never adjust my seat to drive itThe first time my husband drove my car and moved the seat to adjust, the back panel popped out again.This was in the middle of the holidaysI didn't have the time or the money (for a rental car) to deal with this during the holidaysFollowing that my year old son with a terminal illness ended up in the PICUSo, finally in March I was able to get some time to have it looked itI stopped in and he said he would call me back after speaking with the attorney and insurance companyWe played phone tag for months, where I was always the one to follow up with himThey told me I had taken too much time and the insurance case was closedI asked him to fix it based off of their "lifetime warranty." They were the ones who fixed the car including the back panelHe advised me that because this part was never included in the original estimate that they don't guarantee itBut, again, I was told during the inspection that it was fine and an easy fix and they just popped it back in place
This should have been properly inspected and fixed correctly the first timeThis should have been included in the estimateI don't even understand why someone didn't include it in the original estimate if they weren't willing to guarantee the fix (popping it back in to place)The gentleman I spoke with there was the one who did the inspection so he was fully aware that this piece was broken in the accident and he is fully aware that he is the one who popped it back in to placeIts really sad the way the handle their customer serviceIts terrible that my attorney recommended them as an ethical business
WARNING!!! This guy is an A..Hole with no customer service skills at all, after month's with my classic T/A and bucks I got a paint job with fish eye's orange peel and dry spray in the clear coat as well, I take it back and show the owner Dave and he tells me I don't know what I'm talking at and walks away" Wow so professional " so they keep it for an additional month do some of the repairs but it still has issues the paint on the bottom of the fenders is very light and under painted to the point that it flaked off already if they had color sanded the whole thing like they said they were they would have found that themselves, I just picked it up 9/3/He is your best friend till he gets your money then he act like he never seen you This was supposed to be a restoration paint job Very disappointing!!
