Douglas Tree and Property Service

Review: Tree service gave me an estimate to prune four maple trees. They only cut branches they could reach from the ground and left numerous dead and unsightly branches on the trees. They only trimmed from the ground and did not properly prune trees. They explained they would return to finish properly pruning the trees as they agreed the contract was not fulfilled even though they were paid in full. The owner scheduled five separate visits but failed to show every time. This means that I had to rearrange my work schedule FIVE separate times and the owner failed to show or call on ALL FIVE occasions, resulting in lost work time. The last promise was made to me verbally that they would be there "rain, sleet, or snow" and again, failed to show or call. Now they will not even answer my calls unless I call from a number they dont recognize. I have never dealt with individuals that we so unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I would prefer at least a 50 pct refund of the $1100 dollars that were paid for a contract that was not fulfilled. This 50 pct refund would equal $550 dollars.If a refund can not be agreed upon I would like the pruning completed, for all four maple trees. This would include proper pruning removing ALL dead limbs and limbs near power lines.
