This land developer is corrupt, he pays websites to take down his negative rental reviews and the Revdex.com is well aware of how corrupt this owner and his management are. The Revdex.com is accrediting any businesses; I know because I have been injured by this owner and I lost thousands and thousands of dollars over his antics and lies. Morals and integrity is pretty much out the window. "The People" are on their own. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU HEAR from the Revdex.com. Ask like ten people first before you ever make your final decision regarding doing business with anyone in Spokane.

We were in the process of moving out of one rental house and haven't purchased our home yet, we needed somewhere short term to stay. We found Douglass Executive Suites were exactly what we needed. [redacted] was very helpful and did an excellent job getting what we needed in the apartment. There are six of us in the family and we were very comfortable in our apartment at [redacted] Apartments.

Today I want to give thanks to Douglass Properties for making our lives so comfortable... ** and I live in the Lusitano Community. It is stunning to look at plus the staff is Amazing. When I came home from the pool today it hit me how blessed we are..

Its almost 100 degrees out today...But I have AC...provided by Douglass to keep me comfortable while I live in this community...

We live in a BEAUTIFUL apartment that has a patio and attached courtyard lawn.

We all have access to a beautiful heated swimming pool...Which is decked out with furniture for lounging and outside shower for before and after our swim...

If we want to have a party we can book the BEATUIFUL lodge which has a full kitchen, living room with a big flat screen tv, and bathroom for any of our needs or wants...

We have a gym to use when ever we want, and a Media room if we don't have access internet at home..

I realize that not many people tell you often enough how much we really do appreciate what you do for us...

So I want to tell you that we love it here...and Thank you for making us so comfortable

We are proud to call the Lusitano home...

I have lived in a Douglas Property (DP) for the past six years. I am writing this review because I just finished reading the attached complaints and found the author to be extremely rude and my current dis-satisfaction with my current tenancy.
Fundamentally when writing a response letter such as these you would never attack the writers character or lash out. She should have kept her personal feelings out of it. I can't believe DP would allow those type of letters to continue. If I read those prior to moving in I would have looked else where. Very unprofessional, not what I would have expected from a company such as this.
Reading these complaints is very scary to me. When I moved in to my unit, I could tell the carpets probably had never been replaced (since the 80's) and there were dark marks all along the baseboards from repeated carpet cleanings, like the dirt pooled or sprayed to the outside of the carpet. It's hard when someone moves in to notice every chip, scratch or stain. After noticing the stains I had to get down on my hands and knees and clean the carpet at the baseboards by hand. Now, Douglas is stripping and redoing our units as people move out. I would like to know if they are going to try and charge people for defects that will be ripped out anyway.
The manager at my apartments is horrible when it comes to handling complaints. She has personal relationships with the tenants, she lives on-site and shares confidential information with other residents. How do I know this? She has told me many personal things about other residents. Property managers don't have to have any education or follow any ethical guidelines or professional conduct. As you can tell by the response letters from DP's employee/collections person, embarrassing.
Also, the Property Manager (PM) has not taken my rights to live in peace and in a smoke free (Pot Smoke)environment seriously. We have pot smokers, underage tenants and after turning in many complaints regarding the noise, music and pot smoke coming up through my vents, heavy late night traffic in and out of this apartment at all hours. Those same tenants advised me that the PM was so cool and she just told us to try and keep the music and pot smoke down. I'd believe it because of her choices to carry on personal relationships with her tenants (ethics?). As I write this my apartment reeks of pot smoke and the animals below me are wresting and yelling. This is not a home and I don't know what recourse I have.
Anyway, I sympathize with the writers of the Revdex.com letters. When I really needed the PM to stand behind me and protect my right to a peaceful home environment she abandoned me. I think it might be time to upgrade.

I have had such a horrible experience with this company. They were dishonest and cared more about making a dime than their tenants. This is a multi million dollar company that is praying off of our hard earned dollar. I have spoken with numerous people that have fallen victim to their horrible customer service. We were told that the apartment we were moving into had very few complaints of noise and a night time security guard to keep malicious mischief to a minimum. Not true. Constant parties, constant bass blaring, constant domestic partners fighting, and lots of noise all throughout the night. On numerous occasions I had people trying to enter my apartment in the middle of the night, my vehicle was damaged in the parking lot, twice I found vomit in front of my doorway, and my final straw was when there was an explosion and the apartment building caught fire due to someone making illegal substances. To top it off when we moved in, there was previous damage done. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this damage during the walk through and the following day (before anyone moved anything in and no one had been in the apartment since the manager and myself the day before) I called to let the manager know about the damage. She said she would add it to the damage report and did not. I had my father and his friend next to me the entire time I was on the phone with the manager when she said she would add it. My mistake was trusting that she would do what she said she was going to do and not getting a written statement from her that she truly did add this damage to the report. A ridiculous amount was charged for the cheap closet door they said they had to install. I was charged this even after paying a non refundable 300.00 fee upon moving in. A few months later I eventually got a bill in the mail (at the address I gave them when I moved out) for 220.00 with charges for a skip trace fee. When I called to discuss this bill they said mail was originally returned so they charged me another fee to do a trace to locate an address (the same address again that I had given them when I moved out). Why wouldn't they just call me? Maybe that was too easy of a solution. Apparently they would prefer to charge me instead and rack up more of a bill. They seem to punish their tenants for deciding to move some place else. After explaining the entire situation to the girl in the billing dept. at Douglas Properties her only response was, "well, you signed the report so that's what we go off of." I even asked her if it was possible for the carpet cleaning company to have done the damage, because there was absolutely no way I did the damage and have two reliable witnesses. She said, "Yes, I suppose it is possible, but again, you signed the report and it wasn't added to it." For how much money this company makes it is in extremely poor taste to treat tenants like this. I work in customer service and at our company we would never treat customers that fueled our business like this. Especially over a cheap closet door. I am thirty years old and never in my life have been treated like I was a liar, but this is exactly what it seems they are implying when they refuse to correct an issue that was made on their end. I would recommend finding another place to live, but if you have to move into one of their apartments then proceed with extreme caution and make sure you triple check absolutely every piece of paper, every inch of the apartment, and do your research on the individual complex before hand.
